The condo was different than expected. It was inside the lodge, but convenient to activities at Tamarack. We had been given the wrong key code to get in the room and after arriving late with a family of 5, that got us off to the wrong start. The sound of elephants above us until late at night and early in the AM wasn't that great for our peacefulness in a beautiful setting. Probably won't stay here again especially for the cost per night.

The condominiums are only located in the Lodge so we wish we had known where the guest was expecting to stay? We do rent other vacation homes at the resort. I'm sorry to hear they didn't enjoy their stay. The Lodge is normally an extremely peaceful place to stay and enjoyed by many.

Superb!Posted Jul 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is a lovely place, the home was in top condition other than one bedroom was missing at TV and a blind (we made due). The resort is only 20 minutes to Lake Payette in McCall and it was nice to go back to Tamarck to the quiet beauty after having been in busy McCall during the day. Top quality finishes, we are from Park City Utah and this home has "Deer Valley" written all over it. Will absolutely stay again, perfect in every way.

A mixed ExperiencePosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our stay was a mixed experience. The resort had made an error regarding the dates of our stay so when we arrived we were told that we had "no-showed" in July when our reservation was in August. Once this was clarified by the copy of my booking, they worked hard to find a unit that would work for my family. We ended up in one that was nicer than the one we had booked so that was a bonus. Our Chalet was in great condition and well cared for. This is a resort that has been a victim of the recent economy. The areas that are finished are great. Those that aren't are like a ghosttown. We were staying here to be near family and that worked out wonderfully. We will stay here again.

Relax in Northern IdahoPosted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Silence. Great Jacuzzi. Beautiful deck toi sit outside. House well protected against insects. Comfortable beds and luxury kitchen, bath, shower and furniture. All we can desire for a relaxed time. Next time we will stay longer. Location in Donelly, just South of McCall next to a a nice man made lake. We climbed the mountainbike path up as very few bikes use this in summer time. Fresh water from the mountain streams available during our hikes.

Great stay but a work in progressPosted Aug 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
I stayed in a 2 bedroom condo on the fourth floor looking up the ski mountain. The resort is in a beautiful location overlooking Cascade Reservoir. It is 7 miles from the nearest town so come prepared for your stay. Locals told me the resort is emerging from bankruptcy and several buildings remain in a stalled construction state. Staff is only on duty during the day and restaurant/bar is not open Monday/Tuesday. The Robert Trent Jones Golf Course looks to be in good shape but I am told its a hard round and 18 is especially difficult. A rafting company will pick you up right at the hotel if you want. The hotel did not appear to be very full. I would stay there again but I would ask for a room facing the reservoir.

Amazing cottages...makes me want to remodel!Posted Aug 5, 2013
We stayed two nights and they were both perfect. Only problem was the garage not opening...no biggie. Really clean, comfortable and scenic. Thank you Tamarack!

An adorable cabin/house in a nice area.Posted Jul 10, 2013
Pros: All-around up-to-date and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: In winter, there is skiing and snowmobiling. The ski lift is a few feet away. In summer, it's near a big lake; lots of boating, etc.
The small cabin-type, 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom place was very nice; a neighborhood of these small places in a wooded setting. We stayed on July 7th; these places are right next to a ski lift so they were intended for winter use. The houses have modern but nature-related interiors; lots of wood trim. The house was too big for just the two of us but very comfortable and I enjoyed it. I liked the privacy of not being in a large hotel with too many people milling around.

Breathtaking ResortPosted Oct 2, 2012 on Hotels.com
The Tamarack Resort was absolutely gorgeous. I could not have asked for a better facility or location. The location was breathtaking!!! The resort closed for the season on the day of our departure. The food options for dinner were very limited due to the end of season. However, the live music and the gorgeous view on the patio made up for the lack of dinner options. The room and hotel was very clean. Great quality of service. I can't wait to visit again and spend more time at the resort.
