Exactly what I ordered!Posted Dec 14, 2013
Pros: Location, room (and view), and the cookie.
Cons: Perhaps cleaner grounds and parking garage.
Location: There are 2 malls nearby, a Wal-mart, and many wonderful places to eat.
I have to admit being pleasantly surprised by most of my experience at the DT...and probably the topper were the cookies. Somehow that just takes the stay up a notch. Even though there was some type of conference going on, I couldn't tell. It was good location...staff was friendly...room was clean...and did I mention the cookies. :-)

Would Stay AgainPosted Dec 11, 2013
Pros: Staff was pleasant, problem with coffee maker solved immediately
Cons: Get promised reward points
Location: It is near Raymond James Stadium
I found this hotel on the Expedia Web site when after being invited to a Tampa Bay game, I needed a hotel close to the stadium. After booking, I joined the Hilton honor club. I checked into the hotel (early checkin) and was informed that because I was "disloyal" to the Hilton chain by booking through Expedia, I would not get any reward points other than what was spent apart from my reservation. Needless to say this really torqued me. However, other than that battle, the hotel was clean, staff pleasant. It was close to the stadium and not a hassle to get back and forth. The coffee maker in the room was not so great. The brewed water for tea came out a nasty brown and there were pieces of what looked to be dried coffee in the brew. After taking it down to the desk, a new one was immediately given for exchange. Other than the hassle with the reward point issues, the hotel was nice. This is the second time in two weeks that two different hotels have made an issue because I booked through Expedia. Also be aware that a $50 security deposit is charged to your credit card - front desk failed to identify this charge.

Clean, comfortable hotel with mostly very helpfulPosted Dec 4, 2013
Pros: Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, good food.
Cons: Everyone on the same page when it comes to certain policies.
Location: Sorry, I wasn't there long enough.
Everything was as expected, I've stayed here before, and am staying again in a few days. My one disappointment - I had called weeks ahead to see if they could store one suitcase for 6 days, and I was reassured they would do that. Also, on check-in, I confirmed that I could leave my suitcase, and again on checkout. No problem. I went for breakfast, and as I was leaving to catch the airport shuttle, the day supervisor intercepted me and at the last minute told me due to liability, I could not leave my suitcase for 6 days. A few hours only would be okay. So I had to drag an extra bag with me and incurr airline fees for no logical reason. If someone really wanted to search my bag while in storage, they could do it if I stored it for 20 minutes, or four hours, or 6 days.

We certainly do apologize for any confusion created during your stay. We are a bit confused as to why you were given the information regarding luggage storage, as it is not our policy to accept luggage for a long period of time. As you can imagine, this policy is in place in order to protect everyone involved and we would never inspect a guest’s belongings without them present or without their knowledge. We regret that you ended up having to take your bag with you, and hope that the remainder of your stay will be even more enjoyable. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Room comfortPosted Dec 1, 2013
The pillows were extremely uncomfortable and the linens were rough. General cleaning was good and also the rest of the facilities. Excellent location near the amazing mall and excellent restaurants

Room ok but bathroom was very small.Posted Nov 25, 2013
Pros: Continental breakfast in players club.
Cons: Fire alarms that work, faster elevators.
Location: Had a convention at the hotel so all our activities were scheduled.
Had a fire during our stay and we did not hear any alarms. Our friends told us they had alarms in their room and staff from the hotel knocking on the doors. Next night was a gas leak. Continental Breakfast in the players club was excellent.

We do hope you enjoyed your convention as much as our hearty Continental Breakfast. When a situation arises that requires immediate response from our staff, it is quickly handled with the safety of our guests first and foremost in our minds. Those areas that were directly impacted were alerted immediately and the remaining areas were closely monitored for any further issues. Thankfully, the incident was not very serious and the precautions that were taken helped to diffuse any worries by guests or our staff. We certainly do apologize for any inconveniences during your stay, but hope to have the opportunity to re-gain your trust in our brand in the future. Thank you for your review.
