Airport hotel

Pros: Nice pool.
Cons: Attitude of management. Explanation of room accomodations- a room for 5 people should not be booked if the room only accomodates 4.
Location: Near downtown Tampa as well as the airport.
We booked a room for 5 people. We were only given 2 beds- there were NO sofabeds at this Doubletree. We explained to the front desk that since this was a Doubletree we assumed there would be a sofabed and asked for a cot. They refused and were further unhelpful. Then when moving in our luggage through a side door we dropped a container of orange juice which split open and spilled all over the orange marble floor. It was difficult to see the orange juice so I quickly ran to the front desk to alert them- I was afraid somebody would slip and fall if they too were carrying in luggage. A lady was walking along behind the desk, not helping anybody, so I ran up to her and then all of a sudden some guy starts screaming at me for "cutting in line." I tried to explain but he just kept yelling obscenities- he hadn't even been waiting that long because he hadn't been there 3 minutes before when we checked in. Anyway the front desk person just started yelling back. It was an awkward, horrible situation and I expected an apology or SOMETHING afterwards but no communication from management was received.

Disappointing overall

Pros: The cookie.
Cons: It needs to be updated. rooms, equipment, rugs, floors...everything was just 'tired'.
Location: Convenient to the airport.
Aside from the super loud road construction that was happening right outside my room AT NIGHT, I was disappointed at the condition of the hotel. The rooms were tired, in need of new rugs, and a good cleaning and generally not up to the standard I would expect of a Hilton property.

awesome front desk staff!!

Pros: The front desk staff went out of there way and made us feel at home! I dont remember the young ladies name but she was great!!
Cons: Bartenders seemed like they hate their jobs but everyone else made up for lack of customer service from the bar
We had a great time and hope to stay again soon!!

Hotel check in

Was not happy with the customer service I was 4 days from delivery called night before to see if they would be able to accommodate me to check in early and they stated to call in the morning when I arrived and as stated I did and they stated when I got their with my other 2 younger children they only had a room with 1 queen bed and we ended not checking in until after 3:00 I was not very happy and then it took an hour to get towels by the pool terrible customer service

airport stopover

Pros: Everything
hotel was great choice for location,near to airport,close to shopping mall for last minute spends. I had read mixed reviews,but can honestly say everyone in hotel we met were very good at their jobs,excellent hosts,with a wealth of knowledge to help. We ate in the sports bar which again was really good,and good value. We were greeted at reception by Lola who went above and beyond to help us,and must say those cookies are the best ever.

Great Hotel

Pros: The location was close to the airport & the highway.
Cons: nothing
Location: There are two major malls, plenty of restaurants, Walmart, Target, and 30 minutes from Clearwater or Saint Petersburg.
The room was spacious, clean, good amenities, and the customer service reps were friendly.

First time stay @ DT

The hotel was nice but--there's no elevator in the four level parking garage-not good after dark. (You're going to want/need to use it & there's a $10/day valet fee!) Also, my room was on 8th floor so getting to the Towers elevator was a hike as well as a confusing maize. Age and safety should be considered when assigning a room regardless of a discount booking.

Room was disappointing.

Pros: Pool area was nice. Staff was nice.
Location: Lots of things to do.
Hotel room next to a busy and noisy interstate. Small room. Television would not show all channels. Had to request repair twice during a two day stay. I definitely will not stay there if I return to Tampa.

Pros: The 3 different pools!
Cons: the size of the bathrooms inside the rooms!
Location: Everything is close by! Within walking distance to SeaWorld, restaurants close by and Walgreens if you forgot anything on your trip
the staff and the extras they provided for SeaWorld was awesome! My only complaint was the size of the bathrooms. It was so small we had to change outside of the bathroom and when traveling with children that can be difficult. Overall, was a pleasant trip and we just really enjoyed the extras!
