“Tampa's Best in my Opinion.”

Made to order eggs and omelets every morning, huge rooms, Friendly helpful staff. My whole stay was excellent.....

“Very Nice!”

Great customer service. The was spacious and very clean. Great breakfast and especially enjoyed the manager's reception. The location is awesome(close to everything but not in a high traffic area), near the interstate, shopping and dining.

“Convinient to the palces I was visiting.”

The hotel is good, service too, though I booked a two double room , they did not have it, without explanation I was sent to a king room. I asked for the two double room and the receptionist said I needed to wait till the following day.

Family-friendly activities

The Florida Aquarium is 10 minutes, very nice place for kids and parents too. Dinosaur World 20 minutes, excellent and unforgetable place to visit if your kids love dinos...like mine.

“Fantastic Hotel”

This hotel is great. The staff was very courteous and the amenities are very nice. Our room was very comfortable and clean. I don't know how old the hotel is, but our room looked brand new with nice decor. The area the hotel is in was great. There is alot of dining choices and shopping that are very close to the hotel. The manager's reception in the evening was ok, but it is nice that they even offer it. The breakfast was very good. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and the deal we got through Expedia made it even better. We will DEFINITELY stay again when we are in that area.

“Great Hotel at this Price”

Brand new facility with large, nicely accommodated rooms. Two flat screens, wet bar, and very nice sitting area. The free breakfast was the best I've ever had in business or personal travel. The location of the hotel is ok, but it's a bit of a drive to Ybor and Tampa.

“Very good mid-price hotel close to Hard Rock Casino/Ybor City”

My husband and I stayed here over New Year's weekend in order to go to the Hard Rock Casino. It was our first stay. The hotel is nice, the suites are comfortable, with adequate space. The furniture seems fairly new, well-maintained, but the carpets show some wear and damage/stains. The fridge and microwave are TINY, almost minibar size (smaller than we had expected, good thing we had our ice chest along for the food we'd brought). The beds are comfortable, and we slept well (couldn't hear any noise from either nearby I-75 or the 'neighbors'). The bathroom, however, had black mold around one of the tub fixtures, and there were several dark orange/red stains on the BR tile and one of the walls near the dining table that looked almost like blood (??). As for the pool/hot tub, they're small, but clean, and well-kept. The MAIN plus of Embassy Suites is the breakfast buffet, there is a HUGE selection of both hot and cold foods, along with a made-to-order omelet bar. The breakfast is so popular, however, that we had trouble finding a SEAT both mornings (the first day we actually sat in 2 overstuffed chairs near the "business center", balancing the food on our laps, with coffee cups on the floor. The 2nd day, we had a table, but the hotel ran out of coffee, and eating utensils, and this was only halfway through the breakfast service). For a comfortable, mid-price hotel, we would recommend the Embassy Suites, but it would NOT be our first choice of several hotels located in this area.

Area recommendations

This area of Brandon has probably the nicest, newest group of hotels that are fairly close to the Hard Rock Casino/Ybor City/state fairgrounds and amphitheater. There are at least 6 located close to Highway 60/Adamo Drive. There are also several very nice hotels just off Falkenberg Rd. on the way to the casino as well (off Palm Parkway). Even though the casino itself is about 4 miles away, the drive is easy, safe, and well lighted (some areas of Tampa close to I-4 are a little rougher than others and we wouldn't recommend driving through them after dark). From Embassy Suites, or any other hotel located nearby, we always drive Falkenberg to MLK Blvd and then to Orient Road, takes about 20 minutes.

“Complete luxury, going to my cancer checkup.”

I had a little trouble finding the hotel. You might mention that it is as the corner of Highway 60 and 75.

Area recommendations

I don't know Brandon, but I know that I do not like to stay near USF and Moffitt Cancer Center. The location was private yet convenient.

Getting there

It is at the corner of Highway 60 and 75, and even at night, easy to find, as long as you don't use the numbered address.

“Very Good Hotel”

This is a very nice upscale hotel. The rooms are all inside and there is a pool outdoors. The only problem was breakfast is not served until 7:30 and so if you need to leave early you cannot get any food and there is not even coffee ready. I wish there was early do it youself options even some cold cereal or microwave oatmeal would have been fine.

Area recommendations

We stayed at this hotel because it was close about 10 minute drive to the Tampa Fairgrounds and we went to see a concert there. Also nearby there is petrol stations and fast foods also a post office.
