Short Getaway

Cons: breakfast included
Location: Plant Museum, Aquarium and Hard Rock Casino and Ybor City.
Pleasant staff and very efficient. Rooms were very quiet.

A very reasonably priced hotel

Pros: Close to airport and reasonably priced.
Cons: Nothing, it is a good clean basic hotel situated close to airport. Mini bus shuttle. Basic meals facilities.
Location: Not far from Bush Gardens or downtown Tampa.
...and not far from Tampa Airport and International Mall. The hotel runs a mini bus shuttle so handy for an overnight stay either end of holiday. It is situated in a very pleasant tree lined business/office area off of Martin Luther King Blvd. The hotel does buffet breakfast for $10 and provides reasonable evening meals. There are restaurants off of MLK Blvd of a basic nature like a Wendy's but no where to stroll comfortably. Pizza delivery is possible to hotel and there is a microwave and refrigerator in room. Good and clean but basic. There is a pool and sitting out area but pool was freezing despite being reassured it was heated. Also outside area doesn't get much sun.

Needs a little work.

Pros: Snacks and drinks available next to the front desk and easy to purchase.
Cons: Rooms need to be better cared for.
Location: Very little nearby. Need to drive to the local mall for most things.
Booked a King room but was given a room with 2 double beds at check-in due to the hotel being full. Normally these hotels are nice but my room was not up to normal standards. Lamps were unplugged, cabinets were visibly dirty, lampshade had a burn in it, the phone was off the hook, and there were hairs on the toilet and in the shower from the previous occupant. I asked to switch rooms the next day and was given a King room which was better. Hotel staff was nice and accommodating but the rooms just weren't up to standard.

Location: Driving distances casino less than 15 minutes, Raymond James Stadium less than 30 minutes.
Stayed in hotel for 3 nights. Initially tried to add extra night by contacting hotel directly. Best price was obtained by booking through Expedia. Very comfortable stay.

Not as nice as you'll think for a Hilton

Maybe we were unlucky, but our room's restroom shower was clogged, there was not enough toilet paper nor towels. However, we complained and got complimentary breakfast, which was nice, but we didn't get an "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" or anything like it.... Also, the breakfast room was not organized, we had to request almost everything from the staff, they were not diligent in making sure there were enough food and drinks out for the buffet. The staff at the restaurant was friendly, however.
