i came because grandson was on sprong brake to use hot tub and pool our hot tub at home is broke got here hot tube empty pool too cold to swim ours at home 1 hour away warmer exercersire room 1/2 of equipt broke and very unsafe use advised all above to both ladies on check in i told them spent all this money wife and i could bring us him and his mom s[ring brake vacation gift money NOT WORTH 1/4 WHAT I paid for sorru this was for him and he was SO VERY DISA[POINTED. couldnt get him to unwind all nothing for him to do tonight even after all day at bush gardens today and 6 miles walking. VERY DISAPOINTED WAS NWEW BEFORE OK BUT AS OF NOW I WONT COME BACK OR POSSIBLE THINK ABOUT THIS COMPANY AGAIN MY WOFE AND I TRAVEL QUITE A BIT BUT SORRY THIS REALLY UPAET US ABOUT BEING SO BAD FOR HIM THIS IS WAS ALL FOR HIM NOT ME I AM 75 URS OLD BUT HE NOT HAPPY CAMPER SORRY KENNETH E SCHELL

Holiday Inn Express did not have our reservation in the system. Had our confirmation # to show them but had major problems checking in. Room had no hot water or heat. Hot water problem verified by another guest. Managers email address on business card is not deliverable.

Very nice Hotel, but in the process of finishing a "complete upgrade"...So a few items are not completed yet, like a towel bar in bathroom...and molding in stairwells and halls.

This hotel is undergoing a major renovation which is definitely needed. However, nothing is working at this place outside of the breakfast. Remodeled rooms have no clocks, no phones, no slip resistant decals in the shower. We barely had warm water for showers. Hot tub wasn’t working. Our room never got cleaned, stayed four nights. Front desk staff were kind and sympathetic, not their fault. But hotel should either not take guests right now or it should be at a greatly reduced rate. Manager did comp us one night for our trouble. Would not stay here again.

The staff was wonderful but the breakfast was very limited due to the pancake machine being down and running out of plates. The carpeting can use some updating due to the stains but I'm sure that was caused by guest that don't care about what it cost for a business to maintain the grounds.

No one was at the front desk for me to check-in. After waiting a while I left then came back about an hour later and someone showed up about 10 minutes later to check me in. There is a sign at the front desk that says they will be back as they’re helping another guest, however the front desk seems to be unattended most of the time. Hotel seems to be unkept overall. Ice machines not working, hallways not vacuumed, AC not working properly, some rooms unlocked with no doorknobs.

The hotel was very run down and dirty. Carpets throughout were stained and very dirty looking. Walls were covered in dirty smudges. Box spring in one of our rooms was missing the cover so you could see how deeply stained it was. Thebother room had cockroaches crawling out of the broken grout in the bathroom. Needless to say, we immediately asked for a refund and left the hotel. Do not waste your money here!

Property was very rundown, and cleanliness was very bad. Dirty bathroom floor, very dirty carpet. Lighting was awful because only 2 lamps with dim bulbs. Two beds were different heights (at least a 4" difference). Could barely reach the higher bed. I would never stay there again.

Dirty, Dirty, Dirty
This may be my last stay in a IHG brand hotel. I’m honestly shocked that IHG would let one of their properties fall this far into disrepair. From the outside the hotel looked nice enough. Inside it was a wreck. Filthy carpet, peeling wallpaper, damaged furniture, an icky bathroom, and a tiny tv that was bolted to the wall facing away from both the bed and the couch (what?). Refer to pictures for some examples. Service was subpar also. After waiting several minutes at the desk I had to shout for someone to come check me in (it was still daylight outside). Later I asked the clerk about the TV. He just said that was the way they were mounted and they can’t be adjusted to point to the bed or couch. We paid over $200/night. Hotels in Tampa are apparently expensive in general but for $200 I expect a clean, orderly property. This felt more like an $80 room. Tonight we’re staying at a Fairfield instead. It cost about $100 more per night but it’s soooo clean and features two giant TVs…one for the bed, one for the couch. Get it together, IHG. Seriously.

Killed four roaches in the room. Elevator was out. Stairway was disgusting, plus cobwebs that haven’t been cleaned in years. Many vagrant people living in the hotel and smoking pot every night outside the hotel, and around the pool area. Never staying here again.

Kept getting locked out of room only 1 out of 5 days our room was cleaned had to keep going to get towels etc. no elevator food tasted like cardboard!! Never have I experienced a holiday inn express like this!! Stay away!!!

They can improve the scent when you enter the room. It is probably because they didn't turn on the A/C ahead of time and using air freshener will help a lot.

Good location. Carpets need to change in the room, it was dirty and stain filled. Staff were helpful, no iron in the room, the first one that I got from the front desk did not work. For the ladies there are no shower caps in the bathroom. Bit pricey for what you get.

I do not feel like the property should have been charging what they did per night. The property is very dated. While the lobby may be fine, and certainly had some design upgrades, the rooms were badly in need of renovations. Our room was musty and moldy. Upon entering the room, we were hit with the smell of both. The furniture was scratched up and dated. The leather desk chair was so worn that the top layer of the leather was completely gone. The ceilings had visible mold, the wall paint was chipped and bubbling in multiple places...probably from all the moisture in the room. The carpet in the room was also stained and dirty. It obviously had not been vacuumed prior to our arriving. My husband also saw bugs crawling around in the bathroom. We stayed in the room for maybe twenty minutes trying to decide if we could at least stay one night of our two-night stay as it was already late when we arrived, but decided to call for a change of room. Upon going to our second room, we passed a couple in the hallway who were complaining about their room. They were on their second room change! We heard them saying to their daughters in the room, "Don't touch anything!" Our second room was also musty smelling, but at least there was no smell of mold. The furniture in the second room was also very old and beaten up. The fridge was making a lot of noise also and kept us up at night. We wanted to unplug it but were afraid that the defrosted freezer would cause damage in the room.

I booked a room with a single King bed, but all they had were double bed rooms. I was not happy about that. The room was also a bit musty. We had to purchase some air fresheners to mask the smell. Maybe the carpets need to be replaced or deep cleaned. The staff was friendly, but the hotel it self was meh. Not what I usually expect when we stay at a holiday Inn.
