“Close, but not very good”
This hotel was close to the airport and cheap. Room had no hangers, broken furniture, rusty fridge, and did not feel very safe. I slept on top of a couple of coats so I would not come in contact with the bed. I will not use the Homestead brand again. Quite a lesson learned.
“Hotel Candy Cane”
Not what I expected, I really should have paid attention to the rating assigned to this place. I don't wish to be unfair to the two members of staff that I actually saw as they answered my questions adequately, but this establishment really can not be termed a hotel. When I arrived, I could find the reception and simply drove around room blocks trying to find a way to check in. This place is scary and I just did not feel safe at all, if I had my family with me, I would have just driven away and found somewhere else. The room was pretty grim. The description as an airport hotel is true in so much as it is so loud that you feel that you are literally sleeping at the end of the runway, but it is not located anywhere near the proper airport hotels which are actually south of the airport. As yet I don't seem to have developed any unfavorable symptoms from the room itself and I survived the night free from attack, so I guess that i'm grateful.
“Not a hotel”
This type of facility should not be offered by Expedia unless the hotel name is disclosed ahead of time. They do not offer free internet. The office was closed when I got there so I waited outside with a homeless person who was camping on the front porch while the night attendant came to let me in. Extended stay facilities do not offer many of the conveniences expected even with a 2 star hotel and should not be included in your offer.
“Dirty Rooms”
The hotel is in need of a face lift. The grout around my tub was black, I had to wash the dishes before I could use them and the blanket on the bed had 3 stains on it. I would have left earlier than I did, but its one of the few places in that area that takes dogs. I still checked out halfway through my stay.
“Worst Night's Sleep EVER”
The hotel itself appeared to be nice for the price, however there were no glasses in the room; the cleanliness was mediocre and the bed was like sleeping on the ground. I will never go back to this hotel.
“you're better off sleeping on the streets”
this was the worst hotel ive ever stayed in, the experience was horrible, i arrived at 2am cause my flight was delayed, the hotel enterance was dark and did not feel safe, the room was small and seemed dirty, i pulled off the top cover and i swear i could see the mattress through the bed sheet, disgusting
“Good for the money.”
The hotel is good for the money. There are plates and silverware. You have to ask for pots. 2 burner stove, full fridge, microwave. Beds are firm. Bathroom is big. Noise level is low. Staff is friendly. Rooms smell funny, but could be the cleaner that is used. I lit some candles to help with the smell. All in all a good stay.
“Price/Value can't be beat when gotten at a discount rate”
Not knowing the area, I was a bit concerned but it was fine. Close to the airport, air traffic never bothered us. Bed was so so. Wireless cable access had to be purchased at the front desk but very CHEAP. ($5-$6 for entire stay) and worked flawlessly. Only "issue" was the smell of what seemed like cleaning fluid. Front desk gal confirmed they use too much. Later in trip I started thinking it was the bug spraying. Bathroom vanity in rough shape a bit, and kitchen utensils were not the cleanest. (nor did we expect that). First time in an extended stay hotel, and know now to bring small amenities to make the trip most comfortable. Dish soap, sponge and a roll of paper towels go a long way! Will try the Homestead in Brandon on my next visit. With the Lee Selmon Expressway nearby, a trip into Tampa Downtown should be quick.
“Horrible”
The room was dirty and sticky. The shower was moldy. And there was a resident prostitute.
“Clean the room, provide services!”
Dingy hotel, didn't get cleaned once the entire week I was there. No additional services offered.
