“Great stay”

This was a great hotel and I would definitely go back. Only complaint is that the bed wasn't crazy comfortable. Other than that, it was great!

“LOVE this place!”

We have stayed at this hotel twice in the last month due to a family medical emergency and have been very happy. The first weekend was Labor Day weekend and for the first time ever (we stay at Homewood Suites wherever we travel if they have a location there) we "splurged" and got a 2-bedroom suite so our 3 kids (age 11, 10 and 7) could sleep in real beds instead of the sofa sleeper and a cot. LOVED having our room to ourselves and the convenience of two more beds and a 2nd bathroom. (When we stay in Atlanta - they NEVER have a 2-bedroom available) Our 2nd stay was this past weekend (10/1 - 10/2) and we only had our oldest child with us - so we got a 1 bedroom King and she slept on the sofa sleeper. She wasn't as comfortable as in a regular bed, but it was O.K. LOVE the fact that breakfast is included - FULL breakfast not just "continental" - always a good variety of food and all of it nice and hot - especially love the fresh Belgian waffles on the weekend. Our only complaint was on the Labor Day weekend trip - on Saturday morning, they only had ONE waffle maker working, the line always had 8-10 people in it - so it took 30 minutes to get a waffle. We asked if they had a second waffle maker and were told NO --- but they had TWO working Sunday morning! Was pretty irritated. But then no waffle maker on the holiday Monday... The sound prrofing must be excellent in this hotel - because we RARELY heard any jet noise. Overall - brand new, clean, wonderful hotel.

Area recommendations

We were very happy with the Airport / WestShore area of this hotel. Clean, new construction, appeared safe, was amazingly quiet given it is near an airport. Lots of high end restaurants in the area (more than we wanted to spend on our 2 trips) but also lots of the standard chains in the area to pick from, and 30 minutes from the beach - so lots of seafood available too.

Getting there

My GPS did not have the "Avion" street address due to how new this hotel is, but it wasn't hard to find. Call the hotel and ask them what block of "West Spruce" they are off of and put that in your GPS, then follow the signs. This hotel is about 7 stories tall (unusual for Homewood in our experience) - but it is behind a huge park and fly parking garage at the south end of the Tampa Airport runways.

“Comfortable hotel with convenient location”

My daughter and I looked at many reviews of hotels in the area before selecting this one. We were a little concerned that there would be noise from the airport, but decided to trust the previous reviewers who said it was not an issue. Everything about the hotel was perfect. The employees were professional and pleasant. The room was clean and quiet during our entire three night stay. The breakfast items were varied and plentiful. We were happy at how much space there was in our suite. The kitchenette was supplied with everything needed. We were located near shopping, Busch Gardens/Tampa, the airport, the beach, and other sites. Towels and other items were replenished daily without being requested. There was Internet access in the room. We did not have time to make use of the exercise facilities and pool, but they are available. There was ample, convenient parking.If we are in Tampa in the future, we would choose to stay at this hotel again!

“Will stay again!”

My family stayed here on a trip to visit family for about a week. We loved the size of the suite which worked very well for our small family. The pool area & sports court was nicely maintained & we took advantage! The breakfast was very good with different hot options each day and yummy freshly made muffins! The use of the parking garage next door was convenient, and kept the car cool int eh hot FL sun. The hotel staff was extremely nice & helpful. At check in I asked if we could change from a king suite with a pull-out to a suite with 2 doubles, even tho I was prepaid for the king room. The staff member changed our room with no extra charge without a problem! Impressive! We were also told at breakfast that one of the staff members clearing tables was the manager of the hotel. Clearly a hands-on approach to management. It shows! We'll be back!

“Tampa best hotel location”

Employees very courteous and helpfull, willing to provide directions and any help requested. Great experience for us.

Area recommendations

The area in the vicinity of the hotel has it all for us, great shopping mall, restaurants and the airport is 6 minutes away. Easy to arrive and to leave, no traffic jams and take the interstate north or south and you go to all the places you could wish.

“Very good experience but not impressed”

This hotel is a very good place to rest but nothing else. If you try to stay more than to sleep, may be the facilities and the comfort are not enough.
