“Better Than The Westin or Club Quarters”
I stayed at the hotel for ten days total and it will without a doubt serve as a memorable experience. The first night I was awakened at around 4 a.m. to the sounds of the people staying in the room next door having what I can only describe as the loudest encounter I've been aware of and not been involved in. The staff was nice, especially when I would return back to the hotel at late hours after visiting a friend in the area and informed me that due to the limited on lot parking I would have to park my car in a nearby alley with limited lighting and out of view from the hotel. The room featured a large sliding glass door which led to a balcony that would not open and provided a scenic view of 7-11 and ladies of the night that roamed the surrounding Fowler Ave/Nebraksa Ave area. While I passed on the ladies, the 7-11 had great microwavable burritos and ciggies on the cheap. The homeless people that panhandled during the day were also a welcome sight and very friendly, not pushy. One even had a funny sign, ya know the one about the ninjas and needing karate lessons, totally hooked him and the guy who tipped me to the police when I forgot to put seat belt as I was pulling out of the lot to head across town. What can I say, aside from my next stay in Tampa will be at this hotel. If you're looking for luxury you came to the wrong place. But if you want a real experience with real people and more than the chance to brag about staying at a 5-star book this place!!!
