Excellent locationPosted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: The staff was very competent and friendly. The complimentary breakfast each morning was extremely good.
Cons: Hardly anything. Some of the carpets seemed a little worn, and the couch in my room looked a little older, but my room -- overall -- was comfortable.
Location: One of the best things is the International Plaza Mall is within walking distance, as are a number of excellent restaurants.
The Hyatt Place has a very pleasant staff and is extremely close to everything: The International Plaza mall, lots of great restaurants, and several spring training facilities. It's also literally right next to Tampa International Airport.

Nice hotel with good staff and breakfast choices.Posted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Please see my notes posted above.
Cons: We had our stay set up through one of the "package deal" companies. Hold rooms that were previously booked a few weeks in advance.More than 2 choices.
Location: The hotel is close to the airport and in a nice area. Several places to dine, shop, and beaches within driving distance of the hotel.Hotel has a pool.
My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 7 days and were very happy overall with the experience. The facilities were clean and neat, the staff was exceptional and very helpful to us. The variety of food on the breakfast buffet was nice. They have a shuttle service that will drop you off and pick you up within a specified mileage range. (We stayed in March of 2015.)

Nice place, great location.Posted Mar 15, 2015
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful and we liked having a space separate from the bedroom.
Cons: Our bed was not great and I wasn't fond of the pillows, but that may be a personal taste rather than a problem with the hotel.
Location: Close to the International Mall, many good restaurants, and the stadiums (Steinbrenner and Raymond James)
We came down to go to spring training and this hotel is in a great location. Close to the airport, ballpark, and many nice places to eat.

Our stay at the Hyatt was less than desirable. :(Posted Mar 11, 2015
Location: St. Pete's Beach Shopping Mall
The reception and breakfast area were very nice and seemed to be updated recently. Complimentary breakfast was just average. As for the rooms, they were dated. The bed was fairly comfortable but the furniture (sectional couch) was very uncomfortable. A staff member told us there are plans to update the rooms this summer. The best experience was the staff, they were always very helpful and friendly!!

It's nice but....Posted Mar 5, 2015
Me and my husband stayed from Saturday to Monday. The first thing we encountered as soon as we walked in was the floor of the lobby area filled with water and people trying to repair the water damage from the rain from previous days. Water was leaking all over the place. During check in we were told that complementary breakfast was available until 10am. Keep in mind that the person that checked us in was the manager. On Monday morning before check out we decide to get breakfast. By the time we got downstairs it was 9:20 and the breakfast area was all cleaned out. When we asked the front desk it turns out that on weekdays breakfast ends at 9am not 10. When we asked to speak to the manager she said that she usually never forgets to give out that information but guess what...she did. We were pretty upset about that. Other than that the room was nice and clean. Just be careful while taking a shower, you feel like you are going to fall due to the unevenness of the bath tub.

Decent hotel, but woefully out of datePosted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: The staff was very friendly and the shuttle was a nice option.
Cons: The outlet situation, and the bathroom sink being in the main room
Location: Near the airport, Raymond James Stadium, George Steinbrenner Field, International Plaza Mall, a million restaurants very nearby.
The first thing I noticed about this hotel was there were zero outlets next to the bed on either side. I use my iphone as an alarm, and not being able to plug it in was a problem. There are three outlets behind the bed and you have to move the mattress to get to them. I had to borrow an extension cord to be able to have one outlet next to my bed. This is 2015, everyone has devices that need power, they need to get with the program on that. There were 8 other outlets scattered around the room, and two worked with an iphone charger. They all worked with lamps and alarm clocks, but not an iphone charger. Weird. The bathroom setup is also bad, the sink is in the main room, separate from the toilet and shower. I had my wife and daughter with me on a vacation/work trip and they had to deal with me getting ready for work at 6am right out in the open with the lights on. The faucet is also oddly off to the right of the sink. Stop being cute and give me a normal bathroom. On the upside, there is a shuttle that will take you to anywhere within a 3 mile radius, which was nice. It would be better if it started at 4am instead of 5 for people who have 6am flights. I must say the staff were all very friendly and helpful, and mentioned the rooms will be renovated over the summer. I'd wait until that happens before staying there

Spoiler AlertPosted Feb 22, 2015
You can hear everything from the room doors. Very noisy. I had my laptop half way up and stepped out to get some food and I heard it in the hallway as well as everyone else tv and conversations. I liked the rooms overall!
