“Not For a one night stay!!!'”
Not even the nane on the building. At night you can drive forever sig out finding it.
“Hard to find”
My wife and I loved the hotel and the price. Huge in size with all equipment of a large apartment, which is what it has been for 14 years. The only problem was that the hotel listing at the Tampa airport electronic board had not listing for the hotel under Marriott. I called one of the Marriott hotels on the board, and the receptionist had never heard of Marriott Execustay. I had brought the telephone with me and the receptionist dialed that number and I was connected to Main Sail and was told that it was Marriott Execustay. I asked for a shuttle from the airport and was told it would be right over. The van said "Main Sail" and we did not connect until the driver called our cell phone. The next day,my brother came to pick us up and got lost trying to find "Execustay" since all signs said "Main Sail." Apparently the relationship between Main Sail and Marriott is new. Signage and directions need to be clearer.
“THIS IS NOT IN WESTSHORE!”
This hotel is not located in Westshore area--they use that term very loosely. The hotel is actually listed twice on Expedia as Westshore and MainSail. MainSail is the correct name and it's closer to the TPA airport than the one in Westshore. Also, this is more like an apt time share. Most people there were staying for longer than a week. Rooms are set up like apts and not hotel rooms. if you're looking for hotel amenities, they will not have it. If you're looking for apt time share that's close to the airport, it would suit you better. There is a shuttle service to the Westshore area but I hired a taxi for a few days I was there. I imagine the shuttle has restricted run time. There is an actual Westshore Marriott closer to Westshore shopping center across the street THEE Doll House:) Also, I tried sending something via FedEx from the hotel and they said I'd have to wait until the next day because they have to call FedEx first for the package to be picked up. Not exactly the best place to stay if you need to run a business.
“Which Name is it Mansail or Marriott Execustay Airport/Westshore?”
Took me an hour of driving around through constuction at 1am and looking for the Marriott name was near impossible. There was one sign as you pull off the main street, but all the signs on the property say Mansail, and nothing about Marriott. When I arrive the large guy at the desk proceeds to tell me about how he ate something that is not sitting well with him. I am given my key and go through the gates and sure enough, my room is by the street with road crews working all night long. I am woke up, before 9am by a maintenance guy wanting to get the washer and dryer out of the room. I inform him I am in the room and know nothing about this. He leaves and 30 minutes later the front desk calls me to inform me, that I should have let the guy in. Then when I asked if they could do it when I check out, the attituded started on the phone. I asked for the manager and she was very nice an pleasant. She acknowledged that these things should not have happened. She made sure my reservation for later in the week was moved to another building away from the construction and gave a money voucher. When I returned later in the week, my room was mixed up with another of my parties and I was called to inform me that I should have checked out. I informed them of the correct room that should have checked out and thought things were fine. When I arrived back, my room key did not work for the gate or the door and thus another trip to the Guest house. Very nice place but has issues.
“HARD TO FIND MIANSTAY”
The hotel was very hard to find. The name of the hotel is "Mainsail" or something like that. Not "marriot execustay". My boyfriend and I had to drive past it like 3 times before we stopped to ask if it was the right hotel. Once we got to the lobby we were sad to find out that our room wasn't ready. We waited in the hotel bar for two hours. It seemed like none of the rooms we ready because there were a lot of angry guests in the lobby. Once we finally got into our room we were pleasantly surprised... very clean and roomy. The suite was huge for the price!! I guess I would recommend this hotel.... just as long as you are willing to drive around a while to find it and then wait in the lobby bar for your room to be ready!
“Bare bones...and lots of mold”
It was an apartment of sorts...not a suite. Few pictures on the walls. Mold in the showers. Rough towels. Old beds. Probably more suited to kids or a family of six than a couple in town for a celebration and looking for comfort. I'm not a 'hotel snob' so don't get me wrong...it just was drab and very plain. The pool and bar made the rooms tolerable...if I was to be charitable about this review.
“Great place.”
Very nice hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Close to Tampa airport and convenient . Would recommend to anyone. would be a great place to stay for an extended time. Lovely suite.
“Hard to find, Hard to get to and not Ready on time.”
The hotel is a little difficult to find and not easy to get to but that was not my major problem. When I arrived at 4 PM which is their check-in time my room was not available. I had a meeting to go to and checked again at 4:15 and finally 4:30. When I told them to cancel my room they suddenly were motivated to "try" and find an alternate room. I told them to forget it, changed in a bathroom and went to my meeting. There were a lot of people still waiting for their rooms when I left.
“Get what you pay for.”
For the overall value of an Expedia pick, this hotel is fine. And it is also good if you are planning an extended stay. My room was like a small apt. But, I was unfomfortable checking in at 10 pm on a Monday and people were sitting in the stairwells and groups of teenagers walking around. Again, it's summer and this is an extended stay. The room was very neat and clean, except for the large palmetto bug. I live in Florida, so they don't bother me. But, not what I expected from a Marriott.
“Tampa's best”
no more hotel rooms for me-this was like a home away from home-this is just the tickets for families- it allows for space- privacy and very economical as you can cook- has full kitchen-really nice-so glad we found it
