“Excellent views, good for birders”

The suite was spacious (2 room suite) and with a nice balcony. The kitchen and living room made all the difference from an otherwise claustrophobic regular hotel room. The view was fantastic, including sunsets, seagulls, pelicans, loads of ospreys fishing, and during the low tide, several species of egrets and herons (great blue, little blue, snowy, great white, tricolored, and even reddish egrets fishing!), kingfishers, spoonbill ( just one sighting), night herons, hawks, not to mention the shorebirds ( willets, godwits, sanderlings, spotted sandpipers, etc). Guaranteed fun for bird watchers from the hotel parking lot! Overall spacious, clean, good amenities, friendly staff. But make sure you are driving because it is a bit off-the-way for taxis and public transportation. Definitely recommend and will certainly stay again.

“nice hotel, not convenient to restaraunts”

The hotel was nice. It was a little annoying having to take the shuttle everywhere since we didnt have a car with us, and the drivers werent always too friendly. I would reccomend the hotel though!

“Great price, Great view!”

We stayed in a 2 bdrm suite, with a fantastic view of the bay. Our suite came with all appliances. Airport was only about 5-10mins away verrry convienent. Although the bay area is mainly for sunbathing not swimming, hotel does have a pool. We rented a car & drove to Clearwater...only 30mins away, well worth the drive! Our suite comfortably fit 5 adults

Area recommendations

Ybor CIty, Channelside Bay Plaza, Howard Street all great areas nearby offering entertainment, restaurants & nightlife. Cab ride will run about $25 eachway

“GREAT LOCATION TERRIBLE ACCOMODATIONS NEEDS SOME UPGRADE”

The hotel is located in a beutiful location on the bay in Tampa, however, the service was not good, the sleeper sofa is terrible and we were not provided with sheets for it.....also all the TV are really old and do not work vvery well neither did the dvd..... The hotel has a feel of old in side the room and kind smell like it too and we were not provided with enough shampoo and conditioner, had to go to the front desk too many times and it seems that the personel did not care about us as a guest...... I have been to many hotels but never experience such terrible accomodations for a hotel that was not that cheap and is in great area..........Terrible......... if you are looking for comfort away from home DO NOT GO TO THE SAILPORT RESORT BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING ABOUT RESORT.............THANKS!!!!!!!!!

“Perfect if you like good service and a quiet atmosphere.”

I can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff and management. The service was that of a 5 star hotel. The rooms are clean, well apointed and quite comfortable .There was not only a large flat screen T.V. in the bedroom but also an even larger one in the living room. The kitchen has to be seen to be believed, there is nothing missing from it. The bay can be viewed from every suite. The "private beach" is a bit of a stretch since there is nowhere to enter the water exept from the rocks which are off limits but it did offer plenty of white sand, privacy, and room. My only complaint would be that all of the bedrooms are adjacent to a common hallway and they are far from soundproof. When people are in the hallway talking at night you can hear the entire conversation as if they were in your room with you. My wife and I had a wonderful experience overall at the hotel and wouldnot hesitate to return.

Area recommendations

Tampa was not very accessable to the hotel. We spent most of our time in the hotel or on the beaches at nearby St. Petersberg.

“"Sinkhole" Bed”

Great location, nice view, but the furniture was old and the mattress was just plain worn out. Too soft and sunken in the middle. We would 've asked for another room, but we were only there for two nights and it seemed like too much hassle.

“Clean Waterfront Suites”

This resort is clean, has convenient kitchenettes, and has separate rooms for the living space and bedrooms. The rooms have a view of the water. The resort has a beach, but it is really a patch of white sand inside of a concrete sea wall, and does not actually extend to the water. The shore is rocky, and the water is not accessible from the resort property. There is a small pier that extends out over the water for fishing, and a nice pool for swimming.

“Great value and lication”

Not what we were expecting from the pics on Expedia and not glitzy but very pleasantly surprised at how functional our apartment was and how exceptionally clean it was. Staff were excellent. Our only issue was that the apartment only had a double bed and we are both 6ft+. None the less, great value. Would defiantly stay here again.
