Hotel chosen for shuttle service

Was told they shuttled to airports and called to find out how the shuttle service worked. After landed found out that they did not shuttle from PIE only TPA paid an additional 115 to get to and from hotel. When arrived to hotel both rooms that I had booked were incorrect. Could not be fixed. When returned from cruise once again room was not what was booked. This time they did fix it. Went to cafe and ordered bagels waiting for shuttle to port. 15 min later still no bagels. Left. On return from cruise waited about hr and a half to get shuttled back to hotel. Poor instructions as to where to meet shuttle by person that dropped us off and by desk person that talked to upon getting to garage to let them know we were ready to be picked up

Good price, stayed one night, wouldn't do another. Had a room near the pool, second floor. I was staying with my young child while visiting Tampa. Sounded like an all night pool party. Finally called at six am and asked if they would shut off the music at the pool that had been playing loudly all night. Literally. Yelling and parting all night outside, next door and pool side. Needless to say we had little to no sleep. I informed the desk on checkout. The girl was very nice, apologized and comped the breakfast. Breakfast is very good though. The hotel is older. Relatively clean, but the rooms do not seal off any outside noise. Front door had visible gaps, maybe this allowed for noise. Glad I didn't pay much for the stay. Can't say I would stay again, even for a cheap price. Seemed like a party hotel. Not good for families. Sorry.

A great old property

Pros: The main tower is the only way to stay, forgete the motel basic rooms in the back.
Cons: in suite masages
Spend the little extra to get the Balcony Queen Executive Suite.

Eh, I've slept in better...

Pros: The room was big, the pool area was nice and the breakfast was great.
Cons: A/C and water temperature for baths/showers.
Location: Plenty of restaraunts and stores nearby and about 20 minutes to Tropicana Field.
The room itself was nice and pet friendly, which is what we were looking for in case we needed to bring our two dogs(we didn't because dog sitter was available last minute). The a/c half arsed worked, the blow dryer didn't work at all and the hot water was luke warm at best. If these issues were addressed, yes I'd stay with them again...

Disappointing Endeavor

When reserving this hotel I chose it specifically because of it's on-site spa. Unfortunately, this did not live up to the idea of a hotel having an on-site spa. One would think this would mean the spa would be staffed by the hotel and the spa technicians who worked there would be available for their guests, if nothing else, for sure, during the regularly scheduled business hours. Not True! Not only were there no technicians available, come to find out had there been someone available it would have been just that, some"one". I was told if they were able to offer my wife and I spa treatment, it would only be one at a time. The services I had reserved would have taken over four and a half hours to complete. Taking over half of my already very tightly scheduled mini vacation with my wife. The result of this disappointing endeavor was cutting our stay in half and requesting a refund of the lost time.

This was a pleasant hotel. Big rooms and very quiet. The pool could occasionally be noisy, but you could not hear your neighbors at all.

Not for family

The pictures aren't accurate of this hotel. The hotel is quite old and not a place for families. The rooms are small and the walls are paper thin. We were right outside of the pool area (which also has a Tiki bar) and was quite noisy at night time. The Resturant staff was nice the servers were nice & attentive the check-in lobby woman was rude! They didn't clean our room and never had enough towels. Overall this hotel is good for a young crowd wanting to have some drinks and stumble back to the room. It wasn't worth the price. The water pressure in the shower was good & the bed was comfy

Pros: The pool and the restaurant were great.
Location: We went to the Tampa Bay Times Forum.
All in all it was nice. The air conditioner was out dated and not very cold but the room was comfortable.
