The hotel is okey. But i was very disappointed. I was with my mom and grand mother . They give us a floor where you cant use the elevator down. The call button is out. They had many other rooms at the time. But nothing. Got a room with no towels had to go get some from housekeeping myself. Basically i had to ask for everyhting . Front desk girls need more training on how to talk to guests and they dont have to treat us like garbage.

Rooms soo big an open plan . Air con not working. Bathroom door can’t shut properly and no towel. Had to ask for it Due open plan and AC not working. Both us were taken down by cold . Not good experience

Our 2 bedroom apartment was not in clean condition, AC wasn't working in main living room, barely working in one bedroom and both bathrooms were very dirty, one had broken shower head, other has broken toilet seat and sink clogged. There was yellow water dripping from ceiling in one bathroom.

Honestly the staff tries, but the room was dirty, the floors weren’t clean, the bathroom I can’t even describe it, and the noise was something else, I booked it following the reviews I read, but the AC never kicked, first they gave me a room without it, then they moved me, WiFi didn’t work, I had to take showers with sandals, the experience wasn’t the most pleasant, wouldn’t stay again there.

The room had a beautiful unobstructed view of the beach, across the street. It was walkable to restaurants and conveniences. The staff was very friendly and helpful, always asking if we were enjoying our time in Tangier. The room was clean and huge, it would make a great place for a large family with two living areas, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a dining area, kitchen and several walk out decks. It was certainly comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was quite nice with a variety of fresh fruits, juices, bread, eggs, cereal, and vegetables. We laughingly compared it to “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”, because while it was certainly nice enough and had a bit of charm, it was just a wee bit past it’s prime and there were a few small things that needed some repair. Overall, it was a good stay and we give the staff high ratings.

Dakhla is a southern paradise

We liked our 1st check in and stay at room 807 very much. When we checked out that room, we requested the reception if we could keep the same room on our return 1 day later. He said, “of course we could.”. We were so happy and expected to be treated the same on our 2nd check in one day later after a very long and late journey returning from Chefchaouen that night. We were unexpectedly told that we could not the same room and downgraded to a much smaller and 90 degree view standard room (610). The worst part was that the shower head in our bathroom was half functioned and half of the hot water was jetted outward to the wall instead of downward to our head and body. As a result of it, we most cold water. We complained about it to him and requested to have another bathroom available for my partner to have a nice shower before our bedtime. We waited for almost 15 minutes, and a big guy who could not speak any English and behaved quite rude. He came in and checked the water on the vanity sink instead of the shower head, and told us that the hot water running fine on the vanity sink which we did not even mention about the problem at the first place. He then used our room phone called to the reception for about 5 minutes close 1am late night with our room open wide open. You could imagine the noise he talked and the other hotel guests on the same floor would have been disturbed. My partner then grabbed the phone and asked the reception to ask him leave our room.

The hotel is across the malecón clean and rooms are very spacious Jr suites. Far from the port and center of town 45 minute walk or taxi 10 to 15 minutes. Make sure the meter is on before get on the taxi. 12 dirham to Hotel from port.

Very noisy hotel
Staff on arrival were friendly and assured me that I will have a quiet room, which indeed I asked for when making the booking. They gave me a room on the 7th floor. However, as a 6 lane express way meanders around the hotel on two sides, I don't think any room is really quiet. Mine certainly wasn't. Tangier is busy almost 24/7. Consequently, sleep quality was very poor. Shutting the window was not an option as it was far too hot and for health reasons I do not sleep with aircon on. A bad night was had. Otherwise, the room was very large with space to dance, a kitchenette and very good bathroom with a superb shower. The breakfast buffet looked huge with a choice of European and Arab food but the quality of the food was mostly not to exciting. WIFI was very good.

Clean hotel with large apartment size with fridge. Wonderful room service. Near to the beach and local sites. Best hotel we have stayed in Morocco. Lovely balcony, great views, alcohol available just across the road.

Excellent location, Sea View from the balcony.Nice and big room with kitchen and utensils.Very good breakfast(starts at 8:00am).Would have been better it started a bit early. Very helpful staff at the reception.The staff could converse in English. Particularly a young gentleman, named "AMIN" helped us a lot. He even got us printed our boarding passes. The reception let us stay couple of hours longer after our check out time. Would definitely come again with family.

They need to keep the apartments maintained because the shower was not fixed, and some doors inside the apartment couldn’t be locked or totally closed. Staff were magnificent, supportive and politely professional. Breakfast is amazing and the sea view is fabulous

The hotel is centrally located and the breakfast spreed was amazing. Their is a restaurant at the hotel and different restaurant in the new Medina. The front desk staff are helpful. We check-in our luggage early so we could do a day trip and pick-up our luggage after another day trip. I highly recommendated.

Very boring experience We were four people (me, my wife, her mother and her uncle). Firstly, I booked two rooms (Superior and Standard), but the receptionist in check-in process gave us identical rooms (both standard) even though the prices were different. Secondly, there was a very bad smell coming from bathroom. Thirdly, very slow internet connection Fourthly, in the second night, a new female receptionist called me over the phone and spoke loudly in a very rude way, claiming that the girl accompany with us is not my wife (: and she should leave immediately. I told the receptionist, sorry you are totally wrong because my family and I checked in smoothly yesterday and if we had any missing document, we should be told when checking in but not now. she told me ok no problem. After 30 minutes, I got a phone call again from the Hotel Director asking me for the marriage contract in order to send a copy to the authorities. I told them I do not carry a contract (A4 Size) everywhere and we are 300 km out of our origin city, so give us until tomorrow, but he refused to do that so my wife slept with her mother in different room. Lastly, they told me it is not allowed to have the Hotel Director’s contact information (email of cell phone or landline)!! I can summarize everything in two little words: lack of hospitality.

First of all the hotel view is amazing. I could see the coast of Tangier from my room. The room was also clean and looked pretty new. Staff were extremely polite. Service was just a tad slow but otherwise would certainly come back

Le Rio is only a short walk from the Railway station and the Ferry port - but it is a long distance from Tangier Med Ferry terminal - so take care where you are booked to/from - you have been warned. The staff were very helpful in getting us a Taxi to the Ferry Terminal - a what seemed a reasonable price. This is a great hotel - right on the sea front but access to the restaurant is from outside the hotel - not so good on a wet day!

Nice hotel but needs improvement
This was a family vacation which included 7 people. As a result I had to book two rooms using different sites. Overall our stay was positive and the staff was responsive over the two nights we stayed. The room we booked was very large and accommodated 5 people comfortably even though the recommended amount was 4. First the parking was horrible. The parking space available is extremely limited and its frustrating spending so much time trying to find a space. We loved the large and spaciousness rooms including a sitting area and separate salon. More importantly the kids loved the Wifi it worked wonderfully. We discovered one of the toilets did not work properly and infuriated everyone given what we paid for the accommodation. We were able to get the staff to change the room the following day. However, the Wifi in the new room was disconnected. We had one more day to go and we were not spending too much time in the room so it didn't bother be too much but the kids were extremely disappointed. The breakfast provided over the two days was included in the cost of the rooms. The hotel offered a broad variety of things to eat and catered to different tastes from traditional Moroccan breakfast to Western continental offerings. The fact my kids didn't complain says a lot.

Hotel Amenities Are Not Correct
Our stay was unsatisfactory because the complementary airport shuttle cited in our reservation was not honored by the hotel. The amenity highlights specifically states, "a shuttle from the hotel to the airport is complimentary to guests (available 24 hours)." This was particularly troubling because that complementary shuttle was the reason why we selected the hotel. If the complementary shuttle was not included in the offer, we would have stayed elsewhere. We would like the amenity removed from description since it is not honored. We also would like reimbursement of the 200 dirham that we paid for a taxi to the airport.

My stay at Le Rio was very good. We booked it last minute but the staff were very accommodating, allowing us to check in early and check out early. They even offered us a free lunch and a delicious snack platter was sent up to our room. They helped us with booking of local transport, calling companies for us and even printing our boarding passes for us, all this at no additional costs. They went the extra mile for us and we are very grateful for them. The staff all speak english and they were very welcoming. Fantastic service! the rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped. We were reluctant to leave the hotel by the end of our stay.
