Pros: The staff was nice.
Cons: Clean the mode out of the bathrooms.
Location: The outlet and horseback riding.
It was short trip but overall good time with the family. The bathroom were not as clean as it should have been, the beds were not that comfortable and the pizza in the hotel was not to my liking. The staff was nice and it place was quiet and restful.

Could be great!

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Location and pools-though they need to be maintained better
Cons: Almost Everything-food, facility, number of staff
Location: Location easy drive from NYC. Hiking, beautiful playground nearby.
Lots of potential here. Two nice pools-indoors and outdoors and the location near state park great but hotel needs basic maintenance throughout like painting. Breakfast buffet needs to be upgraded to include more fresh fruit, fresh breads.Staff friendly but there isn't enough to keep things like towels around the pool clean, tables cleared, etc.Sauna not working which was a big disappointment. It is full of families and noise in rooms not a problem. Too expensive for what I paid but we still had fun.

Good Location to the water park and ski resort

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The only think I like is the location that it is close to the resort.
Cons: Everything needs to be changed, the rooms needs to be redone, especially the bathrooms OMG
Location: Location wise it is great
Fortunately a great location and unfortunately not a desirable place to stay. if you stay for mare than a night they dont make the beds not clean the bathrooms, they only give you fresh towels that smells like chlorine, the linen did not smell like fresh, for the price I paid it was a very bad experience.

Disappointed!

Posted Aug 26, 2014
The rooms need to be renovated, old decor & cruddy corners. The elevators are slow & noisy. I had to change rooms after the first night, I found a bug crawling next to my sleeping 3yr. old! I was disgusted & would never stay there again.

convenient hotel but.....

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: hotel is close to the water park
Cons: renovation
Location: location is great for all the attractions
Room was not ready, hotel is very conveniently located but it's run down. We paid a lot of money for the 70's motel look. Time to do renovation in the lobby and rooms.

Great location, clean room

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Location of hotel was perfect. Waterpark and other attractions very close by. The place may be a bit dated but room was very clean, staff was nice and stay was affordable. If you just want a place to stay that is conveniently located, this is the hotel. If you want something super fancy then you need to spend a lot more money and stay somewhere else. We would stay here again.

Decent hotel, but not worth the price

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Location
Great location, but outdated. We arrived around 4:15 and were told our room wasn't ready and that they'd call us when it was. Not a big deal since we wanted to go to the outlets down the road anyways, but would have been annoyed if we had been on the road for hours. The elevators are slow and the only thing updated in the rooms was the tv. There were frosted flake crumbs under one of our beds, but other than that, it was clean. I'd stay here again if the price was right, but wouldn't go out of my way to stay here.

Great outdoor pool. Overall a dismal place.

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: The outdoor swimming pool is large and impressive with a small waterfall. Kids will really like it. The view is great.
Cons: Entire hotel needs "facelift". Only 2 elevators which are very slow--replace with faster ones. Replace sofa beds.Better lit hallways & cleaner rooms.
Location: Located in Poconos close to many outdoor activities including white water rafting & other water sports, horseback riding, winter skiing etc.
We made a 24 hour advanced reservation coming back from NYC so types of rooms were limited. Saw online large outdoor swimming pool, indoor pool and arcade for our 13 year old grandson. The setting of the hotel is impressive with a lake and a view of the ski runs. We had to settle for a "loft" room on the 4th floor. There was a queen size bed up in the open loft but the steep spiraling staircase made it impractical for my wife and I to sleep up there(bed went to grandson). We slept on the most uncomfortable sofa bed ever. Ultimately, we put the mattress on the floor to sleep. My wife froze downstairs while our grandson "baked" upstairs. There was a ceiling fan but it was coated with dust so we didn't turn it on. The hallway was dimly lit and it took forever to catch an elevator. In fact, we ended up carrying our luggage down the stairs(4 flights) when we checked out(only stayed 1 night).Overall, the hotel is seriously outdated and needs a makeover. Overpriced for the conditions. Perhaps the other rooms without a loft are nicer and more comfortable. Try to stay on a lower level if possible.
