Id stay again, but never on New Years Eve

Posted Jan 7, 2013
Decent motel close to town and about 10 minutes from hunter mountain. Very nice to be able to walk into town to eat/drink. I stayed here New Year's Eve which probably heavily skews my opinion in a negative direction and I would not recommend staying here on New Year's Eve unless you plan to stay up the entire night. A large group of rowdy early 20 year olds partied the entire night with little regard for the noise they were creating. There is also a dog which barks anytime a person is outside or a car pulls up which is annoying at times but overall not a big deal. I'd give this motel another chance on a random weekend as the rooms are spacious with a table and chairs and the bathroom is large with a good shower.

Pros: clean room comfortable bed.
Cons: curb appeal
Location: great, easy to get to, close to Hunter Mountain
Family operated facility, Clean room, with a comfortable bed, which was recently renovated. Outside could use some TLC. Great location would stay here again.

You get what you pay for ... and LESS!

Pros: Leaving.
Cons: Read the review.
Location: One of the best things going for this place. Very close to where you are going to be visiting. The whole area feels like a ghost town.
Well let's see ... our color TV flashed color a few times, mostly viewed all programming in good ol' black and white. Privacy was pretty much out the window, literally, all of the windows had areas where the outside could see in ... not a good feeling. Our bathroom sink had no functioning drain stopper and this motel doesn't stock the common wash/face cloth that everyone and their mother would expect. I guess they expect you to wash your body with a full-sized towel. If you need to blow your nose, you must proceed to the bathroom and rip off some of that good ol', cheapest brand you can buy, toilet paper since the room doesn't have a normal box of tissue, in fact, you'll find the only waste basket in the bathroom. If you are a light sleeper, I would suggest that you book one of the rooms on the upper floor, because you will hear everything and everybody in the motel if you're on the bottom floor. I don't believe there was even a telephone in the room ... ah, but in this day and age, who needs one, right? And unlike the 3 Bears, our room had 2 beds ... 1 too soft, 1 too hard.

Location: Super close to Hunter Mountain and town restaurants...etc
outside may not show that obvious renovations were made in the rooms; mine anyway. It was comfortable, good heat for 19 degree weather!

Basic & Clean for a Reasonable Price

Posted Oct 12, 2011
This is your basic roadside hotel with just the basics. The rooms are are recently renovated with new carpeting, furniture and bathroom upgrades. I chose this hotel because it was close to Hunter and was much cheaper than the other nearby hotels and did not require a 2 night stay on the weekend. The location was very convenient to the small shops and restaurants in Tannersville (maybe a 2 minute drive) and maybe 5-8 minutes to Hunter. We chose a basic double bed room which had only a refrigerator. A coffee/tea maker would have been nice. I understand the hotel has kitchen rooms available, though. The negative points were there was no sound proofing so it was very noisy as people went in and out of their rooms. However, since there really is no night life in the area this was only for a short time in the evening and it was quiet by 9:30-10 p.m. -ish. Also, there were no face clothes in the bathroom--only hand and bath towels. Although the bathroom itself was new and clean the shower curtain had some mold on it. All things considered I would stay there again and would suggest it to anyone who just wants a clean, basic place to stay. If you want more conveniences in your room I would suggest paying a bit more for the full kitchen room.
