Convenient locationPosted Mar 19, 2015
Pros: The hotel was located outside of the downtown area and it was relatively easy to come and go without fighting traffic.
Location: There were restaurants, gas stations, stores nearby - within a 5-10 minute drive. It was also possible to get to the downtown area using side roads.
Central Taos was very congested with traffic.

The Bed was very goodPosted Mar 16, 2015
Pros: Bed and Pillows & the price.
Cons: A few more choices for breakfast - a room fridge is always nice.
Location: hockey tournament
There were some disappointments (Breakfast is weak - there were some creaking sounds that woke me up, the shower was not very warm - although other rooms said it was fine. We heard terrible stories of friends that stayed at other hotels that had really awful beds. This Days Inn in Taos had a wonderful bed and great pillows. So that was a winner for our two night stay!

Okay for the pricePosted Jan 2, 2015
It was a last minute booking so we just needed an inexpensive place to stay The first room was not cleaned but they move us quickly no questions asked and that room was better. Breakfast was sparse but it did the job for a bit.

A good place to stay in TaosPosted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Good place for a reasonable price
Cons: More tables for breakfast and more variety. A computer in the lobby area would be helpful.
Location: 5 mins from town (lovely historic plaza), 30 mins from several ski resorts (Sipapu, Taos, Angel Fire), beautiful scenic drives & hikes in the forest.
Check in staff were very friendly and helpful - they even printed my boarding pass for me. Location is good - on edge of town on the main road in (easy to find) about 5 mins. drive to the center. Rooms are clean and spacious, breakfast is basic but functional, breakfast area is really small (3 tables) but we managed.

Clean affordable comfortPosted Oct 13, 2014
This is a Mom & Pop run Days' Inn franchise. I look for these motels because I've found them more reliably clean and up to snuff than others. The gentleman who owns it could not have been nicer when we checked in. It is not the most up to date facility in Taos, I am sure, but the parking lot is clean, the carpets vacuumed and there are no funky odors. The rooms are spartan but pleasant - no closets but hangar racks for coats & clothing. The mattress was firm & comfortable, the linens super clean, as was the bathroom floor, toilet & shower. Everything in the room worked. There is a coffeepot and coffee & a hairdryer. The breakfast area was clean & fully stocked with the usual continental breakfast choices. No awards for the coffee. The motel is located on south Rt. 68 on the way out of Taos, a mile & a half from the Plaza. Choices for restaurants start a couple hundred yards north. Nice place to pull into at the end of a long day on the road, and one that is NOT on the Bedbug Registry.

all things consideredPosted Oct 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
Although this was not the kind of hotel I would ever book for my wife it was just what I wanted. An inexpensive place to stay in Taos. Carpet and furnishings this old never look clean but the sheets ,towels and all other surfaces were clean. The room had adequate pillows and the bed was comfortable. The TV worked fine. I never tried the AC because the weather was beautiful. The window was screened and worked well. They were clear about their rules of no good in the rooms, no pets without notice, and no smoking. In a place this old those kind of practices can quickly deteriorate a facility so I understand. The staff was cordial if not friendly. All in all a fair price for the room and acceptable limits to quality based on the price. I would do it again.
