“Great Location in Taos”

Spent one night here while visiting Taos. Great location not far from the shops. Breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

“Fantastic”

We had a very large room on the second floor - great bed - Kiva fireplace - nice balcony - very clean. The grounds were well maintained and the location was just a short walk into town - everything was perfect - especially for the price we paid, If we go back to Taos again we will definitely stay at El Peublo. We travel all over the world - these were among the best accommodations we have ever had - the included breakfast was also quite good. We were extremely pleased.

“A well-deserved number one in Taos”

Large and well-equipped bedroom and bathroom. Choice of location for (free) breakfast. Most rooms are close to the road but there is little traffic during the night.

“Comfy with classic touches”

El Pueblo Lodge lived up to the expectations created by online reviews. The rooms have lovely touches (glass block, neat wooden ladder made of branches as a towel rack). Two highlights: 1) even though it was freezing (it snowed while we were there) the outdoor hot tub was open, clean and luxurious; 2) breakfast is a massive feast of yummy foods, and we ate in an old-style adobe breakfast nook (felt just like home).

“Cute motel near historic downtown Taos!”

I cannot enthuse enough about this motel. Now, take into consideration, it is a motel - it will never rival the Fechin Inn that used to be across the street from here. However - it is cute, clean, has lots of local flavor, and you can walk to historic downtown with all the restaurants, shops and museums you could shake a stick at. There are some museums and attractions that you'd obviously have to drive to, but this location is pretty darn close to perfect. The included breakfast is good, always filling - continental-style with toast/waffles/pastries, fruit and hard-boiled eggs, cereal, milk, coffee and juice. I plan to stay here next year with my motorcycle group!

“Taos”

We loved it from the minute we drove in until we left for Santa Fe. We were on our honeymoon and they treated us like Royalty! The hot tub sunsets were amazing, breakfast was very good and we will be back.

“Charming Lodge in Taos”

The room was nice and clean and the hotel itself charming. It was convenient to main square and the sights we wanted to see. The breakfast was above normal and served in an inviting setting.

“Best motel in Taos”

The motel manager told me they have worked very hard to get to be #1 on Tripadvisor, and they have made it. This place is a real find in Taos. Right at the intersection with the road to Taos Pueblo, just a couple of blocks from the Plaza, even closer to the Bent St. Shops. Many great places to eat....All walking distance. PLUS beautiful grounds, large shaded lawn, patio with barbecue pits, big deck chairs for a lazy afternoon looking at the mountains....it's a throwback to the old days when motels had large rooms, spacious grounds, and true comfort. And there's a big breakfast bar in the morning, with seating inside or outside on a beautiful veranda with plenty of tables. El Pueblo was booked solid Saturday Sept 24 and we were lucky to get the last room, booking a couple of weeks ahead. And what struck me most was, even at full capacity, they were not overwhelmed by breakfast service (even tho when we had breakfast there were at LEAST 40 people all enjoying the very ample selection, with plenty of places to sit. Book El Pueblo. You will be very pleased. And this review was NOT written by hotel staff, just a satisfied customer, very happy to have found a clean, spacious, friendly place to stay next time I'm in Taos, at a very reasonable rate.

“Beautiful Taos, lovely stay in El Pueblo Lodge”

Lovely motel, very comfortable, décor is wonderful. Had a fantastic stay. Breakfast was very good. Free Internet access was also useful. Not too far to walk into the main shopping / restaurant area of Taos. Definitely recommend and will stay on my next visit to Taos.
