Pros: The free breakfast was well worth it. Since there was 6 of us, it was a great deal.
Cons: The hotel is in need of some updating, and the beds are very uncomfortable. The shower curtain leaked and the fridge did not have a temp knob .
The beds were not very comfortable, and neither were the pillows. I would suggest taking your own. The free breakfast was excellent! The wait staff was very fast and friendly. They were very accommodating to our needs. The housekeeping staff was very friendly. Check-in was fast. The building is in need of some updating, and the tiles in the bathroom are coming loose. Overall we would stay there again!

Cute, quaint place to stay. Comfortable and clean. The only negative I had was the band outside in courtyard that played til midnight. Couldn't sleep.

Quiet

Booked a "deluxe suite". Checked in and got ... something else. Went back to desk, said it wasn't like the picture on the web. Got a second room. Not on the highway this time, but still not a deluxe suite. Went back again. All very friendly, but this is what it took to get a room that matched the picture on the web when I booked it. Once we were in the right room, we liked it. Pool was clean. Breakfast was cooked to order, kind of a nice change.

Repeat Customer

Pros: I like the grounds and lobby of the original Sagebrush. Facilities are very clean and the staff is very accommodating. You actually get a prepared to
Cons: In both the newer part (used to be a Comfort Inn I believe) and the older part the water pressure is somewhat low.
Location: The location is on the south end of town which I prefer. It is not too far from the Plaza but not close enough to walk there. There is skiing of cours
Have stayed here before - always in the past in the older part - more ambiance. This was a suite - more modern. Enjoyed the stay and would recommend it.

Charming sea of tranquility

This inn has been around for years, but is well-maintained and lovely. The rooms all open onto a wonderful central grass-filled, tree-lined courtyard with plenty of chairs for taking a break from the insanity if Taos. The complimentary breakfast is actually ordered from a menu and served at your table, with choices of eggs, breakfast meats, French toast, and the like, instead of the usual dry cereal, fake juice, and powdered eggs, if any at all. The room was clean and everything in working order. I will return next time I visit Taos.

Amazing algae bloom in the high desert plateau.

Pros: The price was right- great for sleeping. Wish the Laughing Horse was still in town
Cons: If you are going to state 'there's a pool!' then make sure they are clean, and filled.
Location: Nothing is close. Visit Taos Diner for breakfast burritos (red & green!) El Meze for amazing food!! Monte's and get the Susie, World Cup-Mex mochas!
While they make it a point of informing guests that they have a pool (there are 2) one was empty (not mentioned) and the other was green, you could not see into the water. They also have a Jacuzzi which was seemingly clean, you could see to the bottom- the water was blue. We didn't take advantage of either.

Worst Experience

Posted Jul 7, 2014
My room was supposed to be ready at 3:00, I got to the hotel at the right time to rest. The room was still to be cleaned. I talked to the staff and they said ill have to wait until its finished. Finally I had to go to the main desk and they gave me another room at another building that looked like it needed remodeling, Its old, the carpet was in really bad conditions, the bath tubs needed better cleaning. It wasn't what I saw in the online photos. The only good thing about the hotel was the breakfast, the food was great and the dining room was nice.

Disappointing

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Very rundown, uncomfortable motel. Broken AC, called maintenance twice and no one came. Couldn't switch our room b/c they were booked. Thank goodness the windows opened otherwise it would have been insufferable. Paper thin walls, you will clearly hear your neighbors' conversation, every floorboard squeak. Holes in the ceiling stuffed with tissue paper, bugs, old mattress. Very uncomfortable. There are other places to stay for the same price. Never again.
