Laid back hotel out in the wilderness of TaosPosted Aug 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
We had a great time while staying at San Geronimo lodge, it had everything we looked for, great location with no light pollution for star gazing, a nice pool and spa tub and great hospitality from the people working there. We had our little dog with us and she loved it there just as much as we did. The only thing of note was that our room could have been a bit better cleaned. no big deal though. Would definitely come back again if I had the chance :)

Special place but needs helpPosted Aug 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our reservation was screwed up when we arrived. Only had one of the 3 rooms we booked. We were going to walk but the owner was able to find us rooms. She claimed it was hotels.com error. Luckily I had all paperwork to prove what we paid. The lodge itself was a very cool place but unfortunately needs some maintenance and upkeep. Much was old and worn out. Our refrigerator broke on the first day. In the owners defense (she was very nice) she seems to be running the place on her own and could use some good help. I loved the prayer path and meditation labyrinth . And the owners breakfast that she served us was delicious. The place is loaded with beauty and history and could be an absolute gem. I hope the owner will be able to keep and maintain the Inn because it is a special place.

Wonderful, out of the way and quietPosted Jul 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
Not that you can get all too far away from town and still be in Taos, but this was a lovely old place in a quiet rural setting. Definitely going back.

Disappointing StayPosted Jul 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
The quality of the hotel and it's surroundings were poor. We were very disappointed in what the hotel offered.

Sooo happy to have spent time with you.Posted Jul 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Thank you for making us feel oh so welcome at the Lodge. Our room was delightful and breakfast was absolutely perfect. Our only regret is that we didn't make time in our trip to stay longer.. WHICH WE WILL DO NEXT TIME! We admire and learn from you, Pam. Jay, your warmth was palpable. Sincerely, Bill and Becky

Staff was pleasant and helpful, but the rooms are somewhat seedy and the grounds were a little overgrown.

Historic lodge outside town with private poolPosted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Oil paintings in every room, obviously the collection of the owner, quiet location
Location: Taos is gorgeous
We loved this place, which is simple and rustic, but away from the bustle of town by 5 minutes. The staff were lovely and personal, and had warm cookies at the front desk. Very quiet and peaceful. Not fancy, but full of character.
