Charming Lodge with Amazing StaffPosted Jan 3, 2015 on Hotels.com
I came to Taos for a restorative retreat for the New Year holiday. My ending up at the San Geronimo lodge was serendipitous in my opinion. The staff are so kind and welcoming, the room I stayed in was so comfortable and relaxing. This place was perfect for a quiet getaway to rest after a long year. It's hard to be any more off the beaten path in Taos than Taos is already but they manage it which resulted in a quiet property to spend time in which was still close enough to the Main Street in Taos to grab dinner or see the sights but allowed a way to get away from the tourist hubbub. I spent many an hour relaxing by the fire in their main room reading and relaxing and enjoyed their hot breakfast each morning. I found their grounds beautiful and inviting even covered in snow and traversed their prayer path and labyrinth a couple times enjoying the chance to reflect peacefully. I recommend this place to anyone wanting a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life and am so grateful for my time here.

Dont waste you moneyPosted Oct 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were asked what time we would like to have breakfast (630-7), and when we told the time they laughed and said well you might want to go elsewhere then because we don't get up that early. Also there was no soap in the room and the staff was extremely rude. We do a lot of business up north and we will NEVER recommend this place. STAY AWAY. unless your fond of giant spiders. We brought them a cup of spiders when we checked out 2 days early to go elsewhere.

pretty nice place to stay staff was expertly friendly would have given it 5 star crossed the board but no a_c did have a box fan in the room which we never got hot and a sky light that shined in the face pretty early in the morning.

Laid back hotel out in the wilderness of TaosPosted Aug 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
We had a great time while staying at San Geronimo lodge, it had everything we looked for, great location with no light pollution for star gazing, a nice pool and spa tub and great hospitality from the people working there. We had our little dog with us and she loved it there just as much as we did. The only thing of note was that our room could have been a bit better cleaned. no big deal though. Would definitely come back again if I had the chance :)

Special place but needs helpPosted Aug 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our reservation was screwed up when we arrived. Only had one of the 3 rooms we booked. We were going to walk but the owner was able to find us rooms. She claimed it was hotels.com error. Luckily I had all paperwork to prove what we paid. The lodge itself was a very cool place but unfortunately needs some maintenance and upkeep. Much was old and worn out. Our refrigerator broke on the first day. In the owners defense (she was very nice) she seems to be running the place on her own and could use some good help. I loved the prayer path and meditation labyrinth . And the owners breakfast that she served us was delicious. The place is loaded with beauty and history and could be an absolute gem. I hope the owner will be able to keep and maintain the Inn because it is a special place.
