The Sun God Lodge is an independently owned, boutique hotel that believes in providing comfortable accommodations and exceptional service at a fair price. Located on the main street through Taos, we are a quaint retreat with beautiful views and an expansive grass courtyard perfect for a peaceful home away from home during your travels. As you drive in you will be greeted by our attentive staff and welcomed to our Southwestern adobe-style property with offerings to fit all guest needs. This lovely property is the perfect setting to relax in your cozy room, enjoy a beautiful day or evening in our well appointed grounds, be the staging point for your next adventure, or a perfect respite for the weary traveler.

Our clean and comfortable rooms feature Taos style décor, eco-friendly amenities, in-room coffee makers, alarm clocks, complimentary local calls, individually controlled heat, cable TV, and free WIFI as well as public areas that include a complimentary BBQ grill. We have rooms with one queen, two queens, and even kitchenette rooms and suites that can sleep up to six people. Upon request we even have pet-friendly accommodations. With all that to offer, it is easy to choose the Sun God Lodge, but it is our warm and attentive staff that will have your returning.

We are centrally located to all that the area has to offer, just minutes from the town Plaza, Kit Carson Museum, St. Francis of Asis Church, Taos Mountain Casino, and galleries, shops, and restaurants the area is renowned for, close to public transportation, as well as a short drive from the Rio Grande Gorge, the historic Taos Pueblo, and other notable destinations. For those seeking the adventure offered by the mountains, we are minutes to hiking trails, a close drive to area skiing and have a stop for the shuttle to Taos Ski Valley on site, and are centrally located to hot air ballooning, river rafting, horseback riding, and other activities the area has to offer.
