Fair hotel for a fair price

Very friendly staff and a fine, clean room. The hot tub was small (capacity 4), and the mattress wasn't the most comfortable, but if you are on a budget this is a fine place to stay.

Staff could not get our towel count correct nor our door key cards to work consistently. We think all "housekeeping" did was change towels, almost.

cramped and uncomfortable

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: The price was moderate and the hotel is on the main highway. The open space with trees and lawn chairs formed a cool green plaza between units.
Cons: The room was very cramped, no chair or counter space. The shower could not be regulated, was either hot or cold. Offer continental breakfast.
Location: The old town plaza & shops, visit the Taos pueblo, and drive the scenic by-way to Santa Fe through the mountains.
With my husband's recent injury, we were thankfully switched to a ground floor room. While waiting for our room to be readied, the manager suggested local areas/sites to visit. The coffee pot had to be moved to the bedside table to reach an outlet.

The staff was friendly and the hotel was quiet and clean. I liked that they had a hot tub but it needed to be cleaned.

Nice for the Price

We were looking for something inexpensive for one night in Taos. This motel fit the bill nicely. it's an older property and there are some of the usual quirks that one might expect from a cheap motel in a place like Taos. The service was very good, cleanliness well above merely acceptable, decor was unexpectedly nice. All in all, a good experience for a low price. Would definitely recommend.

Mediocre

The room is a lot worst in person. No microwave. No mini fridge. The room where the ice machine was smelled like natural gas. The bed was alright.

Taos on a budget.

Classic Route 66 motel, a bit dated but comfortable enough for a one or two night stay. Price was right. Quite dim lighting except for bathroom. Beds need replacement. You didn't come to Taos for television so overlook the 20" with bad cable. Well located and easy to find on the main highway.
