Location: Taos was a blast.
I was stepping on thorns the first night. Told staff and was told they would vacuum. They never did, so I stepped on a few more before I left. WiFi was terrible.

Spent two nights in this dump. Nothing about the reservation, and nothing at check in mentioned that there was no housekeeping services or clean towels during the stay. Should have camped out.

Cons: the breakfast could stay open 1 hour longer roll out beds should be available to more customers
Location: great locations
Excellent very accommodating I would stay here again the pool was heated and the hot tub was all in doors great to relax in after a long day a sight seeing

Dirty Room

There was human feces piled up in the toilet when we arrived. Trash on the floor and inside trash can. There was pubic hair all over one of the beds. The linens wasn't changed, or smelled. We arrived late at night about 11 pm so there wasn't much any one could do to help us. I met with the manager on duty the next day and she told me to take it up with Expedia. This told me she did not want to deal with the issue at hand. This was a very bad experience for me and my daughter. I'm surprised this hotel was recommended by you, Expedia. I need some one to contact me and resolve this issue.

I am so sorry that you had a bad experience we would never tell anyone to resolve their issues with expedia however when paying with a third party such as expedia and are requesting a refund you do unfortunately have to go through them. That may have been the miscommunication

First room had hair on sheets when rolling back the comforter. All drawers were broken in the dresser. Had to leave clothes in suitcase for 5 days. Rollaway bed was so uncomfortable that our son slept on the floor. Requested to move to another room and it took 2 days for staff to accommodate this request. Second room had two double beds. One bed tilted up on one side about 18 inches if you did not stay in middle or right side of bed. Also, on floor of bathroom around toilet seal their was a constant leak so we had to keep a towel wrapped around base of toilet. Holes in towels and carpet. Best advice....keep on looking!!!!!

A for effort but

Pros: The staff and management were very friendly and professional. It is also in a great location for anything you want to do in Taos.
Cons: Update the property. Get new beds and linens and fix the doors and toilets.
Location: There is a great Italian restaurant right across the street that the front desk staff recommended and it was awesome. Great food and great ambiance.
The front desk staff at the hotel was great but the facility left a lot to be desired. Breakfast was great. When we checked in our room was dirty. The towels from previous guest were still on the floor of the bathroom and food was still in the fridge. The staff promptly moved us to a new room a few doors down. This room however did not have towels which they also promptly rectified. They told me they had a new housekeeper that started that day and clearly was not with the program yet. The new room seemed clean but the beds were very hard and the toilet started to back up after the first use. Overall this property is very dated. The staff were very courteous and professional and did the best they could to make the best of a bad situation. The property is well maintained but it is aging and there are signs of this everywhere. Fortunately we were only staying one night so we were able to make the best of it.

It is an old hotel and there are some things they cannot help. 1. would be the staircase being so far away from the upstairs rooms. That has nothing to do with the owner and was poorly designed. The room was cleaner than the reviews had stated but they were still dirty. An old coffee filter was left in the coffee maker and there was no soap in the dispenser. The only soap happens to be in the shower. Very strange. We were given a wash cloth and a face towel. I stopped someone cleaning the room and got more. The paint is peeling off the wall in the bathroom. Do not pay extra for the fireplace it puts out only a blue flame and so doesn't add any light to the room. I liked the location. If was easy to find and the parking was easy. They just need to get a little more organized at the front desk. BTW, the pool and hot tub were very clean and we enjoyed this. I think the price should have been lowered for the quality. I can tolerate some wrongs if I'm getting a good deal. I hope they keep working to fix the place up and get some staff that will stay.

Very unfriendly woman on duty when I arrived - No smiles for anyone checking in. Too many unsupervised children in pool/spa. Very loud men with drinks in glasses - specifically supposedly not allowed - in jacuzzi. Didn't feel comfortable because they were obviously drunk.
