“conveniently met our needs for 3 day super bikes event oulton park.”

MACDONALD PORTAL HOTEL. PREVIOUS REVIEWS FOR THE MACDONALD DID NOT ENTIRELY REFLECT OUR FINDINGS. LOCATION ACCOMMODATION LEISURE FACILITIES AND RESTAURANT .POSITIVELY EXCEEDED EXPECTATION.THE HOTEL STAFF ALL STATUS WERE POLITE AND WILLING TO HELP AT ALL TIMES.RESTAURANT CUSTOMERS IN THE EVENINGS WERE EXCEEDINGLY HAPPY.THANK YOU MACDONALD PORTAL HOTEL FOR A WEEKEND TO CHERISH.

“Decent Hotel”

I was travelling alone and found the hotel most comfortable. The only negative i can really think of is that there weren't any coffee/tea making facilities in the room, which i have normally received in a 3* - this was rather disappointing! However, on the flip side the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

“Awful!”

Restaurant was very run down and food was awful- really wouldn't recommend eating there. Staff very unhelpful and not friendly at all. The bar service was also bad- 10.45 we were served and then the bar staff just started shutting up with no warning they would be closing the bar. When we asked about getting another drink they were very rude and proceeded to walk off. The only positive I can find is the room size- very spacious and well presented. Just a shame the service/staff let it down! Definitely wouldn't stay in this hotel again.
