Central location, very comfortable

Posted Mar 23, 2014
Pros: Clean, warm welcome, comfortable bed
Location: Lots of local eateries to explore.
Lovely hotel with warm welcome and free use of cot and bedding for our baby. Really clean with nice spacious room and bathroom. There is no restaurant on site, but that wasn't a problem as lots of lovely eateries nearby.

Nice hotel in Tauranga

Posted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: Exactly as on the internet and very comfortable and modern.
Cons: Double glaze the windows to keep out as much of the railway noise as possible
Location: We only stayed one night on our way south so other than being very close to eateries and easy to find we didn't use it for anything else.
This was a lovely central hotel. The room was extremely well set up and had everything you could want. We had a room with a partial view of the inlet which was nice. It was very convenient for eateries and we really enjoyed the Cobb & Co restaurant. They do old style cooking and you get large helpings. Great for the price. The only down side is that this hotel is very close to a railway line. It runs through the middle of the town and we got woken up quite a few time through the night any rooms that face the water would get the same issue I would expect as they seem to run all night.

Lovely place to stay

Posted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: Modern, clean, Good location
Very friendly welcome at reception. Lovely appointed rooms, modern and clean. Right in the heart of tauranga but still quiet. A nice glass of wine each awaited us in our room when we arrived back from shopping....a nice touch. Will certainly stay here again and recommend it. Ask for a room with view over Harbour..Beautiful at night.

Nice hotel but rip off merchants.

At check in they took $275 from my account without telling me as a bond for the room. It's now 5 days later and I am still waiting for it to be returned. Nice staff and nice rooms though.

Hotel on Devonport, Tauranga

Posted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: Everything, see above.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.
Location: Close to cafes and bars. Walk along waterfront and over the rail bridge. 10 minutes to Mount Maunganui.
It was lovely to be offered a complimentary drink on arrival to be sent to our room, nice touch. Room was spacious and well set out. Nice to find it had a mircowave, toaster, plates etc, (do not usually find these in a hotel room). And was very pleased to find it supplied Maccona coffee and a decent amount of milk (not those silly little pottles that hold about 2 teaspoons). Also had free, undercover and secure parking. I highly reccommend this hotel.

Pros: modern, comfy, calming, lots sky channels.

Very good experience, wished we'd stayed there more than the night. Free drink on arrival. Comfy bed. Staff very helpful.
