Perfect stayPosted Feb 25, 2015
Location: Didn't have much chance to explore, plus it was dark, but the seaside was not far, and the town had a fair few inviting-looking taverns!
I had to drive 400 miles to get there, sit an exam the following morning, then drive home straight after- so mine was a short stay! The hotel was exactly what I needed. Flawlessly presented, good location, and Jan couldn't have been a better hostess. I had a great night's sleep in a lovely room. The bathroom was enormous and the power shower was hot. My breakfast was perfect too. Would definitely stay again were I in the area.

If it's good enough for a lord and lady...Posted Dec 22, 2014
Pros: Warm welcome and comfort.
Cons: The door to the shower room was bit revealing.
Location: Redcar is a typical seaside town next to the industrial heartland of the North East but handy for the North Yorks coast and moors
Previous visitors to this gem gave their address as the House of Lords. Springdale House is a lovely Victorian townhouse overlooking the cricket ground with views to hills and industrial works. We had a very warm welcome which included a pot of tea in our room and details of where to eat out nearby - a bit limited it has to be said. The room was very comfortable and the duvet was marvellous - feather down we were told. We had a very tasty breakfast cooked to order, sharing a large table with fellow guests. A very pleasant stay our return trip from Scotland to the Home Counties.

Fantastic B&B .Redcar a bit disappointing Races 4*Posted Aug 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
Fantastic B&B. Well maintained and good attention to detail. Easily 4*+. Could not check in until 4 pm which we worked around but we got there early to start our long weekend off. Jan is a good host, Just don't be offended by her sarcastic wit. She means no harm, I think :-) Redcar itself a bit disappointing. Race course very good. Went for our wedding anniversary and race meeting.

From our arrival until we left, we were made to feel absolutely welcome. We rarely ever find places this good, with lovely attention to detail all round, and so much helpfulness. Could not have asked for a better start to a celebratory weekend,
