“Gary”
Nice, clean, well-run hotel with many amenities (including three-hour free bikes). The hotel is located in the center of Tel Aviv and within easy walking distance to all major sites. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast is a good qualtiy and has pretty much everything you would want. The hotel comes with "happy hour" consisting of free snacks and drinks on a quiet fourth floor courtyard. This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel, and will do so again.
“Excellent value for boutique center city hotel”
Conveniently located at base of Dizengoff Circle, hotel has transformed legacy as old movie theater into charming theme for relatively small hotel. Samples of old movie equipment are prominently displayed in common spaces on each floor, and classic films of Laurel and Hardy, Charley Chaplin, etc. are continuously shown on screen in lobby, where popcorrn is also available at front desk. Other vintage aspects of the original movie theater have also been preserved in common areas. More significantly, the staff was very helpful with of our numerous requests, such as restaurant recommendations, location and hours of pharmacies we needed on emergency basis, calling taxicabs, holding our luggage before/after we checked in/ out. They had a good knowledge of the area and showed genuine attitude to be helpful. There is also a generous and appealing complimentary breakfast as well as a complimentary happy hour each day of wine, lemonade and assorted munchies to be enjoyed leisurely on a roof terrace. Within a few blocks on Dizengoff Street are several popular restaurants/bistros and grocery stores, as well as many apparel and other shops. The only shortfall is the compact space in the rooms, which is to be expected in this kind of hotel in a center city location. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. Mature couple from New York
“Good location, nice building, air shaft amplified noise”
Nice hotel and excellent location in the center of Tel Aviv. It's a 5 to 10 minutes walk to most city center locations and about 10 minutes walk to the beach. The Balhaus building is very interesting. The room is a bit small but clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, there is a group of Germans staying there that decided to have a party at 3am two nights in a roll. The noise they made got amplified by the air shaft.

Great hotel. Great location, excellent and accomodating staff.

First the basics. Cinema Hotel has just about everything you could want in a moderately priced hotel. The room is good size (enough for two people), clean and well maintained. It has all the amenities one needs: flat screen TV, mini-fridge, comfortable bed, and bathroom toiletries. Desipte being in one of the busiest parts of the city, the hotel is remarkably quiet. Service was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was large and good quality (some of the best smoked fish I have had at an israeli hotel). The hotel, as indicated in the name, is a former movie house (still remembered by some long-time Tel Aviv residents). The hotel carries this themes throughout, which some might find fun others a bit kitchy. The desk chair is a canvas director's chair, which fits the theme perfectly, but is very hard to work in for more than an hour. Now the real benefits. First, location. The hotel is located adjacent to Dizengoff square, which makes it walkable to almost everything in the city. 10 min to the beach; 10 min to Shenkin; 15 min to the train station; 20 min to Neve Tzedek; 30 min to the port. Second, the balcony. The fouth floor includes a sizeable balcony with comfortable chairs, tables, lounges. In the evening the hotel puts out light snacks (coffee, lemonade, muffins, melon, pretzels). Bring a book or bring your own wine and you have the makings of a very pleasant evening. Quality of the room, location, and the balcony will bring me back to the Cinema hotel quite often.
“Cinema Hote - Very pleasant”
Very comfortable, quiet and pleasant hotel with excellent service and a lot of "perks": free wi-fi (unusual in Israel), free on-site parking, free bicycles for guest use, afternoon "tea" on the terrace balcony for relaxing in the late afternoons, bags of popcorn in the lobby all day. Was wonderful staying on Dizengoff with it's shops, cafes restaurants, etc. instead of the noisy, congested madness of the beachfront. Only a 10 minute stroll to the beach, anyway. Best decision I made was to cancel the reservations at the beachfront and switch to the Cinema.
“Great Hotel, Great Location”

“One of Tel Aviv's best!”
Hotel Cinema was a total delight...and a wonderful experience. Although it is a bit of a challenge to locate, set back on a side street, it was convienent and comfortable. We were able to walk to excellent restaurants and many of the sights were not far afield. The staff was most accomodating and helpful, especially when we had a misplace piece of lugguage. We will return!!
“Good hotel, but not on a beach as stated in description”
We had very pleasant stay in this hotel. The only disappointing thing was hotel description which said it is on a beach. It was main reason to book this hotel for me and my parents. This is not the case and you'll need 15-20 minutes of walking to get there.
