Good location, good people -- poor hotelPosted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Close to the beach, helpful concierge
Location: Tons to do -- both of the markets are nearby -- go to Shibazi, see a ballet -- the restaurants are amazing
I was very disappointed about my recent stay at the Dan Panorama Tel Aviv. The location was right by the beach, which is great -- and the concierge desk was so helpful. Otherwise, the rest of the place was disappointing. The hotel is so run down -- it has not been renovated in decades. My shower handle was held together with glue. The hotel soap/shampoo is cheap and smells badly. The breakfast buffet is expensive -- wifi is expensive -- and not included -- it is free in the lobby and spotty at that. Otherwise, there is a fee. The rooms were old and dirty -- stains on the chairs, stains on the carpet. I was located directly across from the housekeeping supply room -- so it was noisy all morning and woke me up. We started calling it "The Dumpy Dan" because it was so disheveled. The pool was closed -- and what makes it worse is you can see the Intercontinental next door -- and it looks beautiful. Just taunting you what you could have had if you spent more money. I would not suggest this hotel at all and I'm disappointed that expedia ranked it so highly.

Pros: Convenient to visiting our daughter who lives in Florentin section of Tel Aviv (15 minute walk) and also convenient to the beach area which I love.
Cons: Took a while to receive our luggage when we checked in.
Location: Good location. Beach promenade is nearby which is wonderful (can rent bikes or just walk). Walking distance or a short cab ride to everything.

Great stayPosted Nov 3, 2013
Great hotel, great position. Great breakfasts. Great friday night meal. Great stay. Room clean and nicely kept. Nice view. Join dan club before you travel for loyalty points and 12.5% discount on extras, including meals. Free walking tours on Friday night of Jaffa and Saturday morning of Neve Zedek. Only negative thing is a pity pool was not heated as at the end of October, weather fabulous, pool area nice, but pool freezing.

Dan Panorama Tel AvivPosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Friendly, well located a nice atmosphere
Cons: Could do with a bit of updating and free wi fi in the bedrooms
Location: Easy walk to Jaffa and central Tel Aviv. On check-in we were given a book of four easy local walks which we followed
Great room on 13th floor. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived a bit early for our 2pm check-in. The room was ready when they said it would be. Nothing was too much trouble. Great breakfast buffet. We would stay there again

Awesome hotel, lovely beach viewPosted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Everything... the entrance, lobby, shop, breakfast, pool, my room, all the room service very efficient and overall excellent experience.
Cons: The card keys sometimes switched off. They just need to be kept away from phones and electrics.
Location: Location was good, walking distance from beach, Carmel market and city centre (Dizingof).
Excellent hotel, personally I love the Dan hotels chains. Room service was the best for dinner food ( we didn't have all inclusive) as it had massive dishes and was delicious. Bed was comfy, amazing room & beach view, breakfast buffee very large with pool and sea view from the dinning room.. Everyone was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to service. If we needed anything there was someone ahead of us already prepared to help... This was my second stay, I definitely recommend it.

My family and I were kept waiting for 2 hours after the check-in time. Complaining did not help. The staff was rude. The one good thing was the breakfast.
