short of staff

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Location: Excellent location near the beach and market.
Trying to reach staff was sometimes difficult. Breakfast is outstanding. They need another lounge where people can watch the world cup and not have to breath the toxic fumes of smokers and the smell permeates into the lobby. I think the hotel is overpriced.

only issue we had is that the hotel did not have our reservations for 2 of the 3 rooms and the rate went from $350 to $465, it took me close to an hour until the customer service and Expedia came to terms and we received our rooms that were pre-paid to Expedia.

Decent hotel but long walk to beach

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: Breakfast buffet
Cons: Maid, concierge and front desk service and personnel/
Location: Good location away from the craziness of tel aviv waterfront beaches and hotels. The Hatachanah is a fun place to visit nearby as is the Carmel Market
We expected more for the price especially in terms of service. Granted, the breakfast buffet was terrific but basic services were lacking including maid service, concierge and front desk service. On more than one occasion we had to ask over and over for basic room items. Also the concierge recommended "Avi Luggage Repair" to repair our luggage but they did a terrible job and ripped us off, to boot. Surprisingly the hotel never cleared the beach in front of the hotel so it's a L-O-N-G walk to a beach that's usually overflowing with Israelis.

Great Service - Great Staff - Tired Rooms

Posted Jun 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
I think the staff and service at the hotel are top class and compared to some hotels in Israel, that's a revelation. However rooms are a little tired, especially the bathrooms which are average at best. Location is OK, but the hotel does suffer from not backing onto a beach - there's a main road in the way. Overall though, better than most in Tel Aviv so I'd recommend.

Well located in Tel Aviv

Very central location to Jaffa, central shopping districts and Tel Aviv Soho. The staff by the pool are friendly but you have to actually go to the food area to get service.

Excellent hotel.

We had a nice stay, but beware of the ATM machine in the lobby which gives a horrible exchange rate. Use a bank.
