Tel Aviv gateway to the Holy Land

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Staff, location, air-conditioning, self-catering facilities in room and lift.
Cons: Comfortable but slightly dated d├ęcor
Location: Seafront with promenade, Italian Restaurant in hotel, safe, friendly neighbourhood, beach-front restaurants with BBQ
We stayed in Tel Aviv as a jumping off point to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and the Med away from any potential city tensions. It was a cool relaxing stroll from the Dizengoff Suites hotel to the seafront with its excellent, family-friendly promenade. No need to look for food, as it had a great Italian restaurant at it's entrance. Tour companies picked us up early from the hotel for day tours and the helpful hotel staff organised packed breakfasts for us. When we acclimatised and wanted to explore Israel independently, the hotel staff gave more than directions - the do's and don'ts of visiting the various holy places and an insight into daily life. People were genuinely pleased that we came to visit the Holy Land for ourselves against all the reports. We will continue to pray for peace.

Small hotel, centrally located

Nice place to stay not too far from beach. Parking options are limited. Rooms were clean. Our four person suite had two bedroms on two levels, 2 baths and a patio. Breakfast was good. Very small, single elevator slows movement about the hotel. Room was not available at 4 pm when we wanted to check in.
