Great place at the mountain base!Posted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: Everything. Literally. Not kidding.
Cons: Ummmm... Uh... OK, I give up.
Location: We enjoyed walking through the town shops and sight-seeing. There is such a wonderful peace during the off-season, which we were really enjoying.
My wife and I were about to celebrate our 3rd anniversary and I thought it would be romantic to take her to Telluride for the weekend. I looked online at several different possibilities when I chanced upon Camel's Garden. The pictures and reviews were awesome, but my expectation was still low. I have seen so many hotels misrepresent themselves online before and been burned by several. I was delighted to see that the Camel's Garden hotel was even better than the pictures on the web! Our room (#101) was exquisitely decorated with new furnishings, a beautiful fireplace and a very spacious tub with waterfall showerhead - there was even a large patio area for us to lounge around and take in the beauty of Telluride. The details of service in the room even included a make-up washcloth, extra bath necessities and a candle and matches for a romantic bath experience. We would also highly recommend the Spa for a massage - Extremely relaxing! The very kind staff, the heated underground secure parking, the restaurant, the breakfast, the hot tub, the steam room and the views were all just icing on the cake for us. We could not have been more pleased. We were even welcome to bring our Maltese puppy along and he felt as comfortable and pampered as he does at home. Truly an enjoyable stay at a fantastic hotel. You made our trip a memory to last a lifetime! Thank you, Camel's Garden! We will be back soon - I promise.

Just enough pamperingPosted Nov 21, 2013
We really enjoyed out 2 nights at this hotel. We misjudged our time to drive out to Telluride and when I called to tell them we wouldn't arrive until 1am they were very kind, helped me check in by phone, and left a key at the desk for us. The room was huge! The bed super comfy. The shower excellent. Internet strong. Nice free breakfast. Only weird thing was there was no outlet close enough to the desk for me to be able to plug in my computer and work from the desk. Will stay here again next time we are in Telluride.

Great hotel, great locationPosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: The décor of the room and hotel overall were modern and comfortable, with nice amenities.
Cons: Queen beds instead of doubles would have been nice for our family of 4.
Location: Lots of great restaurants and shopping just blocks away. We enjoyed a hike to Bridal Veil Falls, and fall colors.
Beautiful room, nice amenities. The location is right next to the gondola and close to everything downtown. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Getaway to TelluridePosted Oct 4, 2013
The room was better than the best pictures on the website! Very spacious! A great location, just out the door and turn left, Gondola is right there as well as easy access to most of the hiking trails out of Telluride. We plan on returning, probably requesting the same room if possible!

Awesome location!Posted Sep 14, 2013
Pros: Location, price, cleanliness, staff, view, room, bathroom.
Cons: Memory foam mattresses! Oh, and DVD players in rooms should be blu-ray.
Location: Amazing! Right next to gondola and creek, walking distance to all of downtown.
We loved our stay at the Camel's Garden. Right next to the Gondola, on the creek, great views from our room and the hot tub, walking distance to everything. My only criticism is that the mattress was average -- not bad by any means, but if you've slept on memory-foam, going to a spring mattress is a noticable step down no matter what. Otherwise absolutely loved this place! Will absolutely look to book there for our next trip to Telluride.
