“Good if you don't want breakfast”

Fairly standard hotel but breakfast all disposable plates. Would prefer to pay less for room and not have breakfast included.

“Basic but well located with very good service and friendly ambient”

This hotel gets a lot of traffic. It is an older property but it is fairly well maintained. It is like a lot of hotels near ski areas - kind of worn but comfortable. It is clean and convenient in Ouray - walk to whatever the village has to offer. Stunningly beautiful mountains surround the locale and the quaint village of old west mountain town Ouray is fun and interesting. If you like to go 4-wheeling there are mountain passes that will blow you away. Fly fishing, mountain streams - awesome. The hotel is simple and has the basics. breakfast was typical but slightly better than average with warm waffles and sausage/egg biscuits & decent coffee. Free WiFi worked well. Flat screen TVs with plenty of channels. Dog friendly - but no pet odor nor noise. Beds comfy and shower hot. Best part of this location - on-site owners who are friendly, committed and enjoy their work. Their good vibes are contagious and make for a happy clentele. Did not observe anyone displeased or having a bad time. Would be happy to return anytime.

Stunningly beautiful mountains surround the locale and the quaint village of old west mountain town Ouray is fun and interesting. If you like to go 4-wheeling there are mountain passes that will blow you away. recommended Imogene Pass, Black Bear Pass, Ophir Pass - Fly fishing: The river and the , mountain streams - awesome. There are real hot springs in the village. Just walking around and gazing up (up, up, up) at the mountains surrounding the village is a near mystical experience. There are some decent restaurants with good food for any price range and the prices are modest by Colorado mountain resort standards. Mouses Chocolates is a fantastic spot for a handmade chocolate or an ice cream treat. Another retaurant in mid-village on Main St - (don't remember the name (sorry) but it is easy to find: downstairs in a multicomplex - serves great food and kids (under 6yrs-old) eat free. Jeep rentals are a blast. Deer come right into the village and eat the residents landscaping but amused the heck out of us. All in all a great destination for fun, and natural beauty.
