Enjoyed stayPosted Oct 10, 2013
Pros: Location, decor, food.
Cons: We enjoyed the stay and room.
Location: Hike, ride mountain bikes, tour Telluride, shop.
We only needed an overnight room and I originally booked the smaller room at a lower level. At the last minute I decided to upgrade so we could get the mountain views that wouldn't have been available with my original reservation. So glad I did! If for no other reason than the view, it was worth it. Telluride/MV received 4" of snow the night before and the views were incredible. The room was very nice and we loved the decor. The bed was so comfortable and had an abundance of blankets and covers. We slept so well. We didn't do any cooking in the residence (the staff called the room) but it was equipped with a Wolf range! Shower had a steam option that was so nice. And Jose met us at the door, saw us in, gave us a tour and helped see us out. Great guy who was quick to smile, turned on our fireplace, adjusted room heat.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Lumiere in Telluride Mountain Village. This hotel is an excellent place to spend a summer vacation. It is located very near the gondola that goes to the town of Telluride. In Mountain Village there are several restaurants and shopping close to the hotel. The staff was very courteous, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I am sure a winter vacation would be equally enjoyable as our summer interlude.

Colorado summer get awayPosted Jul 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel and room were very nice. There was no air conditioning which made the room less comfortable that we would have liked. We prefer not to have valet service especially over eager valet service. We had barely parked when a man (that we later found out was a manager) began knocking on our auto driver side window to get our attention. Kinda weird but after that he was super nice.

Hotel and view is gorgeous. The concierge/valet was fantastic. Very courteous and attentive. The check-in/lobby was a little confusing to find, having to go to the 4th floor and never being to the hotel before. The person at check in was oblivious to our arrival as she was attending to a dog. The bartender/waitress at the little bar was not that friendly. Food and drinks weren't replenished and stocked for the continental breakfast. We helped ourselves as well as others asked for things they needed, yet they left a tab for us to leave a tip.? Overall our stay at the Lumiere was very nice. Lots of shops and restaurants in mountain village to walk to and the free gondola ride to town was fun.
