Close, but not too close

This is my favorite place to stay in Telluride. A short few blocks to the downtown area and hiking trails. Quiet in the evenings. Staff is exceptional and very friendly and accommodating.

Anniversary get away

Pros: Concierge service was awesome.
Cons: Larger restaurant/lounge.
I definitely recommend this hotel. The only problem we had was the hotel staff left our room unlocked after they came in to replenish towels while we were out to dinner. When we checked out the next morning they discounted our breakfast and parking for the inconvenience.

Clean, simple hotel in Telluride, CO

Posted Jun 17, 2014
Location: Walking distance to everything in downtown Telluride, including the free gondola which takes you up to the mountain. Great location.
This place isn't super fancy, but they do put out yummy chocolate chip cookies + fresh brewed iced tea every afternoon in the lobby. There is always coffee, tea + hot chocolate on a side bar, and while we didn't eat in The Nook (their little restaurant), the food always smelled delicious. Its perfect walking distance of everything in downtown Telluride. I also stayed here with a large group on a photo shoot a few years ago and they were very accommodating to our very early breakfast requests, etc.

Everything was excellent

Went to Telluride for the June balloon festival. The stay was great, and the hotel was perfect. They had us with reservations for dinner at the mountain restaurant and scheduled a spa treatment for my wife in a few minutes. Can't say enough about the Hotel Telluride!

Beautiful Hotel Telluride!

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Absolutely everything! Food/drink at The Nook has great, rooms are well appointed, beds comfortable, location and staff are great.
Cons: Nothing!
Location: Shopping, free gondola ride (at Sunset), great restaurants, beautiful scenery. Ridgway is only 45 minutes away; Ouray is about 1 hour from Telluride.
This is third time we have stayed at Hotel Telluride and I truly enjoy my stay each time! Rooms are absolutely gorgeous, the bed is so comfortable (they even have a selection of pillows!), the views from the hotel are amazing, they have a free shuttle that will take you into town, and The Nook serves fabulous wine/beer and food. If you are there early, be sure to eat at The Nook --sit at the bar and chat with Dave, their bartender -- he is knowledgable about the entire area and will gladly provide tips on things to do/see. Try the Telluride Brewery 'Face Down Brown' on tap -- excellent!) The entire hotel staff is so wonderful -- they even reminded us about the warm cookies that are available at 4:30 p.m. (YUM). It started to rain when we were ready to walk to the market (just 1/4 block away) and they provided an umbrella. Can't wait to return to this hotel.

Pros: Clean & location
Cons: I would consider this Hotel to be five star with one exception. You should have a complete dinner selection instead of a snack assortment

understaffed and traveling in the mayonaise

Posted May 20, 2014
Cons: the management
Understaffed in the breakfast"nook" contributed to a rude awakening. Mysteriously, our room was not included in the housekeeping list so we returned at end of day without our room having been serviced. Not a good value just for a bed to sleep in

Very nice hotel.

Pros: Covered parking area to keep your car out of the snow. Nice room arrangement with a balcony.
Location: Stayed overnight and found many fine restaurants.
Conveniently located so that you can easily walk around the town without taking your car.
