Overnight at Hotel TelluridePosted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: So very clean, attractive design of lobby and rooms. Small veranda off our room to enjoy.
Cons: The room was really warm at night. We had to reduce thermostat setting for a more comfortable sleep. Hotel wanted $20 to park, $30 for breakfast!
Location: Near the west end of town. A ten minute walk to the business section, restaurants, etc. A five minute drive to the free parking lot near Ski Lift #7.
Our experience at this hotel was excellent. It's a well kept property and the staff was friendly. Rate wasn't bad ($200 including tax) considering the time of year and rates elsewhere in town. Note that if you park on the street in Telluride you have to be very careful not to violate signed parking restrictions. Look carefully for the signs. This is the only hotel where I've stayed that has hot water plumbed to the commode. A good way to warm your bum in the morning! Staff at desk told me it was a plumbing error, so probably not all rooms have warm toilet seats! There's a place to store your skis in the lobby. Our stay was short, so we did not have an opportunity to enjoy the hot tub/spa area.

Location: The hotel is in the town of Telluride, not too far from the free gondola. Plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from.
I actually did not get to stay at The Hotel Telluride, there was a mistake and they were booked up. The hotel called me beforehand and had already made arrangements for my husband and I to stay at the Madeline Hotel instead. We were very pleased with the Madeline, and how the Hotel Telluride handled the situation. We did go to the Hotel Telluride one night for dinner. The food was excellent, then we walked around the hotel. We couldn't see any of the rooms, but the hotel itself was very nice. We think we would have enjoyed the stay there as well.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The bellman was most accommodating and courteous, the hotel is beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and there is a bar in the lobby. A shuttle runs you around and picks you up which is very convenient.

Pros: The staff and the comfortable rooms.
The location is close to restaurants and all of the attractions. This was a short visit to Telluride but the comfort of the room and the staff made it very pleasant.

Hotel TelluridePosted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: Rustic and well done.
Location: Hotel Telluride is close to town. It is not a far walk to the slopes.
Very nice. Walking distance to town. Get a room not facing the street. Ask for a parking space in the hotel parking garage or you may have to walk a bit. It cost an extra $20 per day but worth it. Bring snacks. Everything is expensive.

Nice but not stellar hotelPosted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: The lounge is nice, we appreciated the free hot drinks in reception and liked the outdoor hot tub.
This hotel is an easy walk from the center of town (although I probably wouldn't think that during ski season). Very nice but nothing special.
