Excellent location for this area. The price was a bargain for such excellent accommodations. Bed was comfy, room was clean and updated. We were in town for a wedding and stayed 2 nights. We took a 30 minute drive to the beach, enjoyed Old Town Temecula and some great food there. We also took full advantage of the outdoor pool and spa which were well maintained. We were very happy with our stay there and would go back just for a weekend getaway! Have fun!

A downgrade from other Best Westerns

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: The price.
Cons: Live up to other Best Westerns around the country. Fix the tile in the shower. Get rid of the cigarette smell. Invest in standard size pillows.
Location: Close to the freeway, Old Town Temecula, Starbucks, CVS, etc.
Because I have stayed at other Best Western Hotels before, I perhaps had too high expectations for this hotel because it was in wine country. This hotel is just a little upgrade from a Motel 6. I will say that the room was clean but it smelled like a smoking room. The carpet was clean but the tile in the shower was cracked and it look like it had been repaired before but whoever re-tiled did it roughly and very quickly. We were only here for one night, and it was to look at senior independent living facilities for my aunt, so we didn't need a posh hotel, so I chose a lower priced hotel but I trusted the Best Western name. Let's just say, "you get what you pay for." Bite the bullet and pay the extra $20 for a hotel that you can feel comfortable in.

Not up to usual Best Western Standards

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: Convenient location, ease of check in.
Location: Convenient to downtown district restaurants and shopping.
I was in Temecula, CA, to attend my grandson's high school graduation and the BW Country Inn was the closest hotel to the school. The front desk staff person was friendly and efficient upon check in. The problems didn't begin until the next morning when I awoke at 7 AM and had no hot water. I kept checking it periodically and finally warmed water in paper cups in the microwave. I called the front desk to find out where the ice machine was and no one answered. I went to the room for the complimentary breakfast about 8:30 AM, and it was so crowded that there was no possibility of getting near the counter to even see what the choices might be. When I began loading my car, there was a family near the bottom of the stairs who was also packing their vehicle, and they had bags and ice chests and an unleashed dog blocking the sidewalk so that it was very difficult to maneuver. Apparently all the rooms are non smoking so people just step outside the door to smoke and the smoke smell permeates the entire area and floats up toward the second floor rooms.

Perfect for what we needed

We needed a place for overnight. My sister was getting married on wine country and it fit our budget. Everyone was nice and the room was just what we needed.

Enjoyable stay!

Posted May 18, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: More comfortable bed pillows
Location: Old Town was fun! Shopping, eating & entertainment!
Everything was great and comfortable during our stay except the bed pillows were a little too firm for my taste but other than that our stay was great! We would gladly recommend your hotel. :D

Worthless A/C and few TV channels

Posted May 13, 2014
A/C in first room didn't work. Clerk moved me but the A/C in the second room wouldn't go below 70. TV was worthless. I think I counted 8 working channels - there may have been more but the picture was too dark. End up checking out before 3 a.m. NEVER again.

It was good for an overnight stay

We enjoyed the hot tub, but the pool was waaay too cold. The building and parking lot isn't the greatest looking, but it was clean and the staff was helpful, and bottom line, those are most important.

Alternative to Pechanga Resort

Clean, simple, close enough to Casino to Cab or Uber. Had a late night for a 60th party, and appreciated getting a quick Cab back.
