Disappointed

I was so happy they had a washer and dryer right next to our room. We needed it to wash our things from the race we just finished. Another important thing we needed was a hot bath! The shower was impossible to work. So much water wasted trying to figure out the hot and cold. Finally figured it was backwards but still so impossible to find the sweet spot and get the right temp. It took us forever! Then to take the bath. The stopper was not working kept leaking. Totally wasted my bath salts. :-/ I don't like wasting water especially in a severe drought. The continental "breakfast" needs a little tweaking too. Spend a couple Bucks fixing the hardware in the showers and bath and breakfast. Ratings will go up.

Hotel staff was not in office at check in. Waited about 5 mins. He was not friendly at all. Nor helpful.

A Wonderful Peaceful Stay

Pros: I like the bathtubs at this Rodeway Inn. Most inns and motels only have showers. I like the fact, that they have a personal-size refrigerator.
Cons: Maybe the inn might offer bags of herbal tea apart from the black tea in conjunction with continental breakfast.
Location: I spent 2 nights at the Rodeside Inn in Fallbrook, CA. It's a hop, skip, and a jump to downtown Fallbrook.
Everything was great! There was no bathtub stopper for my bathtub, so they brought me one. Within 10 minutes there they had it installed in my tub. No showers for me when I'm on vacation! I like to take long, luxurious baths!

Huge rooms and free wifi

What a great hotel and room rates (off season). Rooms are large and well placed with room to avoid your neighbor. Haha! Seriously, this is old school design and all the amenities in a low price. It is off the beaten path (a positive or negative, depending on the context of the visit) I would definitely return and bring friends.

Clean, comfy, friendly, but certain annoyances

Pros: The carpeting seemed new; the bathroom and sink were in very nice shape, by my standards. No motel smell. Very friendly staff! Reasonable breakfast.
Cons: Internet connection. Noisy but effective heater.
Location: There is a beautiful road that connects Fallbrook and the western edge of Temecula. Some trails to park near. Kind of cute main street.
If I were a tourist in the area, and just wanted to use the motel as a base, I would recommend this motel highly. I feel bad writing of my difficulties because overall, the motel is quite nice for the price. However, the internet connection was terrible for me, and that was a big annoyance, as I was not here as a tourist, and wanted to be able to use the internet in the mornings and later at night. The staff was very nice about trying to help me, but there was nothing they could do about the fact that I kept getting kicked off the internet and was prompted repeatedly to have to login in again. This could happen four or five times in the course of an hour, sometimes in the first ten minutes! If I had needed the internet for my work or for more frequent communication with family/friends, I would likely have left. Another annoyance was that the electric socket that would have been convenient to keep my computer plugged into had a timer on it. The lamp would go off while I was reading in bed, and a small heating pad I use would go dead long before its automatic shutoff. I had to keep my electronics plugged into a different socket where I was always having to contend with the cord as I moved around the room. The first night, for some reason, just waving my hand in the air engaged a sensor that turned the light back on worked, but every other time, I had to get up and go press the light/socket switch. Small issues, but irritating just the same.

Other than being in an out-of-the-way location, this hotel exceeded my expectations as a "value" hotel. It was just tedious to get anywhere from this location.
