Pros: Beautiful pool and grounds in general. Spacious rooms and Villas.
Cons: The work out facility needs improvement and attention. We were dissapointed to not be allowed to use the steam room, they require a Spa appointment.
Location: The best restaurant for casual dinner was in Old Town Temecula, Public House. For coffee/breakfast we suggest Havana Cafe.
Beautiful grounds and spacious rooms. We loved our Villa.

Good Escape

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: The wine was plentiful and cheap.
Cons: Shower took forever to warm up and needed time to re-heat between showers.
South Coast hotel was a nice central place to experience the Temecula Wine Region. Room was spacious and had a nice little balcony overlooking vineyards and the main winery buildings.

Absolutely gorgeous resort, the room was incredible. The bed was way to firm for me, but everything else was perfect.

This hotel/winery is a 5 star experience. Beginning with the friendly staff to the great tasting wine to the well appointed rooms. The salt water pool and jacuzzi were both warm and sparkling clean. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pefect getaway.

GORGEOUS property!

Posted Apr 25, 2015
Pros: Grounds, Brunch, Privacy, Wine!
Cons: Room service - lack-lustre and expensive; Housekeeping - disinfect those jets in the whirlpool tubs
Location: Lots of other wineries to visit; 1-hr. to San Diego; 45-min to the beach (Oceanside)
The weekend we stayed at the property several weddings were taking place (what a great idea) so I'm sure it was much more crowded than normal which is why it was always packed at the winery during tasting times. We ordered room service one night which was very expensive and just "okay" but the restaurant has the absolute BEST BRUNCH so don't miss it. The grounds are gorgeous, which makes for a lovely morning walk and the pool is great (has a bar). The only gripe we have with our private villa is that our whirlpool tub was a little "unkempt," but that certainly won't deter us from returning! Perfect place for a weekend away to reconnect with my husband!!!

A Bit More Ambiance Needed

Posted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: The serenity of the countryside surrounding it.
Cons: More signage on the approach and a few lobby and outdoor touches to Wingive the hotel more of a boutique look and less like a residential McMansion.
Location: Wine tasting and explore Old Town.
We spent two nights at the hotel and had a pleasant but not a dazzling experience. The hotel entrance was not readily identifiable and the building's facade itself did not seem inviting. The lobby, though large, just didn't seem welcoming. I think we expected more charm and/or coziness since we were in a beautiful Tucson landscape. I did like the room's interesting design with a divide illusion between living and bedroom area, and unique bath and closet placement. All else regarding bed, pillows, cleanliness, décor, etc. was wonderful. And the view from our third floor room was truly reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside. The winding path through the vineyard and the adorable casitas with mini-vineyards in their yards enveloping the complex were a delight to experience. In the lounge, the house sauvignon blanc was very good but the décor was somewhat indifferent. The dining room seemed rather charmless with its vast two-story high wood ceiling . My partner's steak and HUGE baked potato were perfectly cooked and my light soup and salad were fine. The wait staff throughout our stay couldn't have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful, including the Tasting Room gentleman. And from all the displayed winning ribbons, they apparently make great wine. The tasting room had a deli selection for purchase to accompany your wine flights on the patio. Very nice.

Beautiful inside and out

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Beautiful rooms with vineyard views.
Location: The hotel spa was fantastic and there's a restaurant and tasting room on the property as well. The property is about 15 minutes from Old Town Temecula
We did a three-night weekend getaway and loved it. It's in a great central location for those wishing to sample the wares of the 40+ wineries in the Temecula Valley. Our room (in the hotel building) was amazingly quiet and peaceful. Hotel staff were fantastic.
