“Good quality 3-star hotel”

Room large and well equipped with best lighting I have ever experienced. Bathroom was a little cramped. Limited menu out of season but food quality was good.

“Would be happy to go again”

We have just returned from a wonderful week at this hotel. We found the staff very welcoming and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable and the facilities excellent. The surrounding countryside was lovely with views of the rugged mountains and the nearby town of Tempio had some lovely restaurants. A car is a real necessity here though as public transport appears to be non existent. It is possible to walk to Tempio but some of the road is unlit and care is required on the uneven pavements. We ate in the hotel restaurant a couple of times and found the food to be very good, but the menu perhaps a bit limited. If we have one complaint it would be the lack of shelving in the hotel room meant we had to leave some of our clothes in the suitcase. On the whole, we would be more than happy to go back and would recommend it to anyone.

“Fantastic value hotel”

The hotel is on the Palau road (S133)on the town edge of Tempio Pausania (follow signs in town).We staid beginning April and had cool weather with some rain, my wife and I and teenage daughter had a triple room which had 2 seperate bedrooms with a television in each, my 14 year old was delighted. The reception area was one of the most beautiful I've experienced with the view to the Aggius mountains as a backdrop.The staff were very friendly and we were served good value meals in front of a big log fire in the evening.

“Great value hotel”

This is a family run hotel, so the costs are kept down. The rooms are furnished practically and include en suite bathrooms (ours had a shower but no bath), air-conditioning, a small fridge, and a TV with international channels. Most rooms have a veranda/balcony. The restaurant offers typical Sardinian cuisine with an additional a la carte dinner each day. We ate at the hotel 6 days out of 14 and really enjoyed the food (their speciality mushroom pasta was our favourite)! It is also well priced. Not all staff speak English - which can be tricky if you don't know basic Italian - however, the manager and his wife speak excellent English and were very helpful to us, offering advice for good places to go for days out. There is a good, clean outdoor pool which is great to relax around plus a tennis court. We would definitely return to this hotel as it is in a quiet area and is located centrally to the Gallura region therefore is a good base to explore much of the lovely coastline of the north of the island.

“A great family run hotel”

This is a really friendly and comfortable hotel. The rooms include en suite bathrooms (shower), air-conditioning, a minibar and a TV with Sky/Freeview channels. The restaurant offers fixed price menu as well as a la carte dinner each day. There is also a pool and a tennis court. The hotel is located away from the busy coast and is located near the large town of Tempio. It is an ideal base to explore the local area and a hire car is definitely recommended if you stay here. The owners (Quinto and Nancy) along with the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a crisis with a damaged car tyre on our hire car and they were extremely helpful in assisting us to get it resolved at the local garage. We would definitely return to this hotel as it is a very friendly, clean and comfortable hotel offering fantastic value for money. A great introduction to local Sardinian culture. Highly recommended!!!

“good place to start”

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the inn, what a good hotel this is.Firstly as other posts have said it isnt on the beach, however within a 40 min drive there are beaches to die for,clean,uncrowded(october) and peaceful.The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, we had room 322 which appeared to be brand new, and to tell the truth wasnt 3 star more like 4.The bathrooms were very plush for 3 star and the rest of the room was very nice.There was sky tv with about 10-12 english speaking chanels,a mini bar and outside a patio area.We opted for the half board option and were glad we did.For 15 euros you got three courses,pasta,meat(veggie)and desert.The desserets were a little disappointing but still ok.The wine was inexpensive and good, no complaints at all.Would i stop there again, yes in a blink.A car hire is pretty much a must as the beaches are a long way off.All in all a good solid hotel deserving of the good reviews it has got.

“Great family holiday at the Pausanias inn”

Real gem of a hotel with beautiful views of the mountains all around. Large rooms with private balcony/garden Everything within less than an hours drive; fantastic beaches, mountains, historic cities and health giving spring water thrown in. Very friendly staff especially Mario and Elizabeth. clean and good sized pool, great for kids especially as we had 3 energetic boys. 10 mins walk to town centre with some good restaurants/pizzerias, 5 mins walk to a well stocked supermarket, 5 mins walk to ruin of 3500 yr old nuraghe dwelling with nice bar/ restaurant. Mountain air was a real plus - all the heat/sun with a freshness.

“Amazing holiday, fantasic hotel, would definately consider staying again!”

My partner and I found Pausania Inn to be a very enjoyable place to stay. The staff were very friendly and even taught us some Italian as we were both keen to learn! It must also be added that the staff, both at reception and in the restaurant had fantastic language skills and were able to converse in Italian, English, French, German (and quite possibly more). I noticed that this was often of much comfort to vistors of the various nationalities that were staying at the same time as us. The breakfasts were great, providing plenty of variety. There was the option of coming back at the end of the day for an evening meal too. We did this on 4 times and every time the food was fantastic - I would highly recommend that future guests have atleast one meal at the hotel. The location is perfect, just 1km from the centre of Tempio Pausania, which is a beautiful place with many interesting sights, cafes, shops etc. We visted the town on a couple of occassions and the rest of our holiday was spent exploring the rest of the north half of the island. From Pausania Inn we found it was very easy to drive to Castelsardo, Alghero, Sassari, Palau (where we joined a full day boat tour of La Maddalana coast and surronding islands - highly recommend this!), Nuoro, and of course, Olbia. We visited Tempio Pausania Inn in September. We found it to be fairly quiet in terms of the number of guests but this was lovely, giving the place a more personal feel. Would defiately consider staying again

“Overnight stay”

We only stayed for one night, but found the staff to be extremely accommodating - they allowed us a 'late' check-out (and use of the pool during that time) to make using Olbia airport easier for us, and also accommodated our request for a birthday cake without any quibbles at all. We would happily revisit!
