Clean and comfortable--would stay again

Posted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: Clean, comfortable, modern, easy to find, and easy freeway access.
Location: The town of Salado has some touristy shops and bed and breakfasts.
My wife and I spent the night at this motel after the wedding and had absolutely no issues other than some people partying across the hall (it was a Saturday night) a little loudly. That was kind of entertaining, though, and it did not go late into the night. She (my wife) forgot to bring a tooth brush, and the hotel had some on hand, which was convenient. Speaking of convenience, even with the construction that was going on, access to I-35 is *very* convenient. The breakfast was nice--scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle machine, juice, coffee, yogurt, cereal, and a few pastries. Overall, a great stay. Not the cheapest, but no doubt among the cleanest and most modern.

Road construction nightmare

Dogs everywhere, barking at times. Not the nicest for sure. Construction all around hotel, hard to get to. Exposed bare box springs. Odd. Pool very clean though.

In town for a Concert

Posted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Everything looked a smelled clean! Staff was very friendly and nice to talk to.
Cons: Better checks of the rooms (outlets hanging out from wall) following renovation.
Location: Small town, but was best location for a motorcycle ride and follow-on to a concert over the weekend.
Hotel was nice overall. The pool / spa area was closed unfortunately due to a chemical leak (chlorine) and parts of the hotel were under construction. The room was clean and other than some wall outlets that were not screwed down all the way, I have no complaints with the room.
