“wonderful hotel, decent location”

the Aguamar is a great little hotel. it is arranged as a collection of self-contained apartments, each with a private balcony. the general atmosphere is friendly and family orientated. the hotel is clean and tidy, with efficient staff. the rooms are cleaned daily. there is a central pool and sun-lounge area, which can get busy and somewhat over-crowded, but is pleasant enough. the hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the coast and about another 5 minutes from there to get to the main tourist centre of Los Cristianos, but there are plenty of restaurants and mini-supermarkets nearby if desired. and obviously loads more in the middle of town. there is a good sized car park right outside the hotel and we found it very easy to hire a car and use this to explore the island. the road system around Los Cristianos is easy enough and whilst it was easy to get onto the main roads to get out of town, there was never any noise of the road present to disturb us. all in all, i woudl happily encourage other families to stay there, who want a good "compromise holiday" of beach, restaurant & activity holiday.

“Reasonable stay”

The hotel was of an average standard but had everything you would need on a self catering holiday, and for the price charged it was very reasonable. The appartment was clean and the towels were changed daily, and it was an easy walk to the beach taking about 15 mins at the most. We didn't eat or drink at the hotel as we like to explore the surroundings, but the facilities looked very nice. The only problem was a group of spanish teenagers who booked a few rooms and proceeded to run riot, screaming, shouting, slamming doors, and running up and down the fire exits for what seemed like 12 hours, but the hotel acted immediately the following morning and moved them from the hotel. Other than that apart from the odd drunken slam of a door! the hotel was quiet. It wasn't possible to pay extra and keep the room for the afternoon of depature as I have done before, but there is a luggage room to store your case after checkout and you can use the shower room pool side to freshen up before leaving. I would go back and I would recommend the hotel.

“Great value hotel, would stay again!”

Our one bedroom appartment was a decent size for 2 of us, may have been bit of a squeeze for more though, meant to accommadate up to 4. Housekeeping was to a very high standard 6 times a week. The pool area was also always kept at a high standard of cleanliness, the whole complex was well kept. The only problem with the pool, seemed to be the selfish people hogging sunbeds, there must have been approximately 150 sunbeds out to use and they were all covered by towels by around 9am, with only about a dozen people actually out there! All staff seemed very friendly creating a good atmosphere. Restaurant food was good but limited choice. Bar food was also fairly limited, but fine for the usual day snacks of sandwiches and burgers! Location was pretty good, good restaurants and bars just up and down the road. Overall, a good choice for families or couples! I'd definitely stay there again if I return to Tenerife!

“well equiped room”

we had a wonderful 10 day stay with our 2yr old boy. the room was really comfortable and even has laminate floors. all staff are really friendly.

“Very clean - Worth the money”

The appartment was better standard then would have normally expected. Nice small kitchen area, standard of cleaning was excellent. A maid came in EVERY DAY which we were not expecting. On the last morning we watched the pool area being cleaned...every single sun lounger was wiped down. As for the pool area.....you will get the early morning beach towel reservations and it did get busy mid afternoon......best bet is to go to the top floor onto the sun terrace. Final point good location about 5-10 mins slow walk from the beach.

“Extremely clean but thin walls”

We stayed here on a stopover on our way to La Gomera, the adjacent island. The room was incredibly clean and tidy. Unfortunately the walls are quite thin and we were awakened quite early by kids in an adjoining room.
