Beautiful room with excellent attention to detail. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice location in the heart of the action. Excellent breakfast included in our room rate with the best omelet chef ever! I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel close to beach and amenities.

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: clean, quiet and peaceful, friendly staff.
Cons: Wi-fi only free in reception area. You had to pay elsewhere.
Location: close to resort, lovely long walking area along sea front both directions. Surfing club on beach directly by hotel.
Excellent stay, clean hotel, not over crowded so sun beds not a problem, plently of privacy if you wanted it. Breakfast choice was great, all the catering team wore laxtex gloves and hair protection which spoke volumes about food hygiene. The owner and hotel manager were constantly visable throughout the day ensuring all guests were happy. Would definately go back.

Lovely location on beach front

Posted Mar 21, 2014
Pros: Pleasant, peaceful atmosphere. Good Location. Lovely Breakfast. No scrambling for sun beds.
Cons: I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom.
Location: A very convenient location in a nice area. Beachfront location where you can watch the world go by. Lovely long walks along decked promenade .
Ideally situated for both playa las Americas and Los Christianos, in a very nice area. Hotel has its own small beach area with comfy sun beds and beach bar. Breakfast had plenty of choice, we stayed bed and breakfast only, they are so many restaurants too choose from, but it would be nice to do a flexi dine arrangement, it can get a bit tedious trying to choose where to eat!! Personally, liked the mexican themed decor , makes a change from white and beige. Do not agree with some who found it a bit dark, the rooms are so large with high ceilings it can take the colours. We really felt the Mexican theme was well executed, so if you go with an open mind I think you would be happy with this hotel. Staff were very obliging and even offered us a breakfast arrangement before our 4 am departure, which we declined, but it was appreciated.

Very nice - But

Posted Mar 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
we stayed at the hotel for a week in March 2014. As a five star hotel it provides all the service and amenities you would expect. The hotel is spotlessly clean and staff a friendly - even when they are confused by my limited Spanish! My two issues with the hotel are that its size makes it almost impossible to find a focal point. The bar areas/restaurants are in different parts of the building and they don't create any atmosphere, and as such are hardly used. Given nearby amenities this is not an issue but it means the hotel is not a place for the evenings. Second, at the moment the Hotel has no English speaking TV stations, so no real opportunity to catch up on local news or watch the odd program during the visit.

They charge for everything

Posted Mar 3, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was literally OKAY in every way. The food at their restaurants was passable, nothing great. The rooms were very bare. The service was also average. Every single guest was a retiree from the European mainland. If I came back to Gran Canaria, I don't think I'd stay at this hotel again. An annoying thing they did was to charge guests for everything. Additional pillows, the safe in your room, parking, wifi, water, nothing was complimentary. Also, a word of caution, if you're allergic to dust, go ahead and pay for the hypoallergenic pillow. I lost 4 days to an awful dust allergy I got at this place. Also, in certain rooms an awful smell comes of out the drains at certain times of the day, so keep that toilet door shut. There is a lovely walk outside the hotel if you come out near the lighthouse, along with some interesting restaurants and decent shops.

Excellent hotel close to the beach and ameneties

Posted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Excellent facilities, lovely spacious and clean rooms, great pool and sunbathing area with easy acces to the beach.
Cons: Disappointing to find that the rooms did not have tea and coffee making facilities nor was there an iron or ironing board in the room.
Location: Excellent location very close to the beach and at the heart of the Playa Las Americas scene. Lots of shops, restaurants, pubs etc
Lovely hotel laid out in a Mexican theme with excellent facilities good access to the beach and very close to the many attractions of Playa Lads Americas. Good restaurants in the hotel but also close to many superb Italian, Thai, English, Indian, Chinese and Japanese restaurants. Staff very helpful particularly in the spa and a very friendly atmosphere.

Lovely hotel

Beautiful hotel with lots of character, large comfortable rooms. We got a standard hotel room on the back of the hotel facing Las Americas, I was concerned that being on the road side would be noisy but it wasn't at all. Great comfy beds for sunbathing & the waterfall makes a lovely feature while drowning out noise like kids or other peoples conversations. Breakfast also very good with delicious fresh orange juice not concentrate! They also cook the top of the fried eggs with a chefs blow torch so you don't get the slimy film on the top :) Excellent location with shops bars & restaurants all walking distance. Only criticism is the wifi is slow & intermittent plus you have to pay extra for it and one night the receptionist gave us the wrong directions to a bar so we ended up late & having to get a taxi.
