Top quality hotelPosted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: Service Choice of restaurants Pool area Piano bar Gym
Location: Direct access to lovely promenade with bars and restaurants Easy to access Teide National Park for hiking and sight seeing
This is a top quality hotel. We stayed for a week in February and loved every minute. All staff we encountered were exceptionally helpful and really focussed on making our stay comfortable. The facilities of the hotel are superb - I used the gym every day, the pools are beautiful and plenty of beds in the well maintained and lush gardens. I have never seen such choice at a breakfast buffet, and everything we tried was of great quality. We also ate at 4 of the restaurants: loved the Hacienda, Asia-Khan and La Tasca although not so keen on the Tratoria which was a bit disorganised and lacked atmosphere. Although we were not on a meal plan the prices were competitive and reasonable. As the location of the hotel is so convenient we also ate at restaurants close by which were also of very good quality. We will definitely be back.

Hotel somptueux dans un environnement paradisiaquePosted Feb 6, 2015
Pros: Tout !

Loved it!Posted Jan 16, 2015
We stayed in January with two kids, 5 and 2 years and loved the hotel!! The service and the food was excellent. The location is great since very close to a nice beach and the hotel area is big so it never feels crowded. Even before arrival the hotel showed how excellent the service was by helping us out with various things, impressed! Great Kidsclub as well. Will come back. Thanks to Ana who helped me before arrival! Only downside this time of year was that the pools could be a bit more heated. /Swedish family

Piece of paradise!Posted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: The spa facilities are superb! Great place to indulge yourself and really relax.
A beautiful and traditional hotel set in lush, tropical gardens. The staff, front desk and main restaurant in particular, are excellent. My husband had a birthday whilst we were there and a bottle of fizz was left in our room wishing him many happy returns. We hadn't mentioned that it was his birthday so must have got the date from his passport. A lovely touch.

Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.Posted Nov 24, 2014
The hotel is huge with numerous bars and different themed restaurants, all of a high standard - the Spanish and Italian offerings especially. There is also a stand alone restaurant, Las Aguas that has exceptional a la carte cuisine and a staff that are simply brilliant. There is every available amenity you can imagine and an award winning Spa that is wonderful and if you can afford a treatment, well worth a visit. The staff throughout were warm, welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. The hotel has direct access to the beach and the whole resort has a number of boutique shops and places to eat a short walk away. A thoroughly wonderful place.

Tolle Hotelarchitektur, schöne AnlagePosted Nov 15, 2014
Pros: Architektur, das Hotel wirkt trotz seiner Größe eher wie ein kleines Dorf. Sehr kinderfreundlich
Schöner Strand, gepflegte Anlage, gutes Essen. Alles, wie man es bei einem Leading Hotel of the World erwartet.

Excellent-not for people with walking difficultiesPosted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: The restaurants were very good and the breakfasts were magnificent
Cons: The hygene of the chairs by the pool
Location: The location is excellent - the beach, restaurants, shops are easily acessible on foot or a short cab ride away if you want to venture further afield
The hotel is set very high up and if you have any walking problems, it is not for you, as there are many steps and quite steep slopes from the lowest floor serviced by a lift to the pool, beach, promenade, shops etc. On going down to the pool area, we noticed that the towelling covers on the sun loungers were filthy. When asked if there were some clean ones to put on, we were told 'no'. Furthermore, we were told that these covers were not automatically changed everyday and we saw the matresses stacked up each night after hot and sweaty people had been sat on them all day. This is extremely unhygenic and we could not understand how a 5 star hotel cannot see that this is TERRIBLE practice. So much so that we chose to sit at the beach each day, where we had to pay as we would not sit on those filthy, dirty covers on the chairs by the pool. The room attendants were very good but did not replenish the toiletries as often as they should - again not up to 5 star standard. We had to use one soap for sink and shower for a couple of days and the shampoo was not replaced as it should have been. The toilet in the room did not flush properly either.
