Loved it!Posted Jan 16, 2015
We stayed in January with two kids, 5 and 2 years and loved the hotel!! The service and the food was excellent. The location is great since very close to a nice beach and the hotel area is big so it never feels crowded. Even before arrival the hotel showed how excellent the service was by helping us out with various things, impressed! Great Kidsclub as well. Will come back. Thanks to Ana who helped me before arrival! Only downside this time of year was that the pools could be a bit more heated. /Swedish family

Piece of paradise!Posted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: The spa facilities are superb! Great place to indulge yourself and really relax.
A beautiful and traditional hotel set in lush, tropical gardens. The staff, front desk and main restaurant in particular, are excellent. My husband had a birthday whilst we were there and a bottle of fizz was left in our room wishing him many happy returns. We hadn't mentioned that it was his birthday so must have got the date from his passport. A lovely touch.

Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.Posted Nov 24, 2014
The hotel is huge with numerous bars and different themed restaurants, all of a high standard - the Spanish and Italian offerings especially. There is also a stand alone restaurant, Las Aguas that has exceptional a la carte cuisine and a staff that are simply brilliant. There is every available amenity you can imagine and an award winning Spa that is wonderful and if you can afford a treatment, well worth a visit. The staff throughout were warm, welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. The hotel has direct access to the beach and the whole resort has a number of boutique shops and places to eat a short walk away. A thoroughly wonderful place.

Tolle Hotelarchitektur, schöne AnlagePosted Nov 15, 2014
Pros: Architektur, das Hotel wirkt trotz seiner Größe eher wie ein kleines Dorf. Sehr kinderfreundlich
Schöner Strand, gepflegte Anlage, gutes Essen. Alles, wie man es bei einem Leading Hotel of the World erwartet.

Excellent-not for people with walking difficultiesPosted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: The restaurants were very good and the breakfasts were magnificent
Cons: The hygene of the chairs by the pool
Location: The location is excellent - the beach, restaurants, shops are easily acessible on foot or a short cab ride away if you want to venture further afield
The hotel is set very high up and if you have any walking problems, it is not for you, as there are many steps and quite steep slopes from the lowest floor serviced by a lift to the pool, beach, promenade, shops etc. On going down to the pool area, we noticed that the towelling covers on the sun loungers were filthy. When asked if there were some clean ones to put on, we were told 'no'. Furthermore, we were told that these covers were not automatically changed everyday and we saw the matresses stacked up each night after hot and sweaty people had been sat on them all day. This is extremely unhygenic and we could not understand how a 5 star hotel cannot see that this is TERRIBLE practice. So much so that we chose to sit at the beach each day, where we had to pay as we would not sit on those filthy, dirty covers on the chairs by the pool. The room attendants were very good but did not replenish the toiletries as often as they should - again not up to 5 star standard. We had to use one soap for sink and shower for a couple of days and the shampoo was not replaced as it should have been. The toilet in the room did not flush properly either.

Hotelteam sehr freundlich und bemüht. Nachteil war eine Baustelle in den Außenanlagen und daher Lärm und Staubbelästigung.

nice hotel with good restaurantsPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Restaurants and food were excellent and great service
Cons: pool areas and hotel needs modernisation in some areas too old fashioned
Location: Don't know as didn't leave hotel but there is a big water park called Siam Park
Nice hotel a bit dated now lobby entrance is extremely huge with not a sole in it apart from the reception staff on arrival which is not a great welcoming. The food and restaurants in and around the hotel were really good excellent food this in fact made our stay. The only disappointing thing is we like to sit round the pool so we can see the kids in and out of the pool but the pools were freezing and the only pool that was heated you couldn't sit round so we had to move from our beds every time the kids wanted to go in the pool and sit on the bench to watch them. Also the beach wasn't great coarse sand and open to the public so was packed.
