hotel triste et bruyant

Posted Jan 26, 2015

We stayed at the Santa Barbara Golf & Ocean Club for over a week in January 2015. This was our first vacation in a Diamond Resorts property and found it rather disappointing. We were assigned apartment number 226 which is opposite a water treatment plant. Attached photos show views from the balcony. The video (if I can upload it) will give you some idea of the noise when the plant is operating. The stench from the plant is unmistakable. You'll know which side of the complex you're on from the smell. The whole point of staying in a seaside resort is to enjoy nice views and fresh air. Unfortunately this apartment failed to deliver on both counts. The management team refused to change our apartment. It's clear from reviews that there are some good and bad apartments at this resort. My question is, do you want to risk ending up in a bad one? If you haven't booked you still have a choice. If you've already paid the money, try getting a written assurance on apartment allocation. You'll know what to do if they refuse. If you do end up staying here, be prepared for phone calls from their timeshare sales team. The resort check-in time is 16.00 and check-out 10.00. That's a huge 6 hour difference. They want a full days rate for 18 hours stay. When I asked for late check out (at 12.00), they said my apartment was already allocated but offered me another room for an 'additional charge'. They also charge extra for Wifi, Parking and Spa.

Fantastisches Hotel

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Die Apartments
Cons: wüsste nicht was

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Dejlig lejlighed. Pænt og rent over alt, meget velholdt. Pris som var til at betale :)

Very good Hotel, Excellent staff.

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Wi-fi
Location: You need a car to get around, the area is very quiet which is great if you want to relax. We enjoyed walking along the sea front.
We have just returned from nine nights over Christmas. Excellent hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Miguel on reception. The hotel is very clean love the swimming pool area. We hired a car so drove every day, ten mins to El Medano Beach which is a great place to chill out. We paid extra to park in the Hotels underground car park which was worth doing 18 euros for the week. We ate in the Hotel restaurant a couple of times which was fine, good value for the three course set menu deals. We would certainly stay again. The only issue is the Wi-fi its not that good in the room, its fine in reception. Had the Diamond talk but did not feel any pressure to buy into it, it's not really for us at the moment.

Best apartment ever!!

Posted Dec 24, 2014
This was the best apartment I have ever booked! Went to Tenerife for the first time with the lads and really enjoyed our stay here! The staff were really friendly, they had a supermarket and restaurant within the hotel, a swimming pool, gymnasium, jacuzzi, game room and much more! Taxi rank outside the hotel made getting places very easy! And they were really cheap as well!! Gustavo the receptionist helped us with everything to make the holiday even better! Top guy!! The rooms were outstanding, exceeding out expectations! Definitely coming back in Summer 2015!!
