Pros: The staff were friendly and the bar entertainment good. The pool area was pleasant and clean. There was a small on site shop which was good value.
Cons: The towels were very old and white/grey colour! The cost of access to WiFi (only in the reception area)was too expensive.
Location: The local town was a pleasant hour walk down hill. The taxi back was very reasonable €4 at the most. There were lots of restaurants to chose from.
We arrived after 9.30 pm & food was not available at the hotel. We were directed to a restaurant a short walk away. The room was spacious but noisy as the balcony was on the busy road side. The view, included the mountain & the sea when you looked past the other hotels. The poolside was nice and there was plenty of sun beds. There was also a poolside bar. Bar prices were very reasonable and very good value. The live entertainment ( suitable for older people) was very good - Carlos was especially good (playing the saxophone & singing). The meals were served in a large restaurant and all self service. It was basic and plentiful.

Nice hotel.......

Nice hotel with beautiful relaxing surroundings. Would recommend to people however, no kettle in rooms so no morning or afternoon tea or coffee. Fridge easily accessible. Safe has no key and no key at reception. The rooms themselves are comfortable with ease to heat or cool them, very spacious for 2 people. The bathrooms need updating or deep cleaned as the bath had hard residue in it and the toilet had a green tint stuck on the porcelain. Also please check with the hotel before booking as the buses are hourly from hotel to town from 0935 to 1835 only reason I say check is because the hotel is situated at the top of a very large hill which is OK to walk down but coming up is more than a 20% incline. "breathless" taxis are only €4 from Marco plaza so pretty decent.

4* loong time ago, but still pleasent

Quiet place with nice garden, mostly german guests, nice staff, huge rooms with nice balcony to the garden with lush vagetation. Meals rather poor, but you can survive, condition of the facilities in the hotel are not perfect, it needs refurbishment, so don't expect your great impression at moment of arrival, but you manage to feel familiar with it all after while or even start to like it. Guests and staff are mostly old so this place is definitely not recomended for young people expecting some young athmosphere or fun, it reminds rather some geriatric branche, closer to the cementary, than hospital, but still..., if you like it like that - why not? ;)

Lovely gardens and peaceful location.

Pros: I liked the location and the friendly staff at the reception.
Cons: Soundproofing of the rooms.
Location: This is a bit far from anything, so the shuttle service from the hotel and back was handy.
This hotel has impressive gardens and a lovely pool which catches the sun nicely. The rooms are very spacious and we even had some views as we were on the 4th floor. Very comfortable beds.

Had a Lovely Stay at Sol Parque San Antonio

Posted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: The setting within gardens. The size of the rooms. The distance to the town centre. Helpful Staff. The Cats.
Cons: Décor & some furniture was a bit tatty. We noticed painting taking place on the outside walls so improvements are being made. Hot b/fast hotter please
Location: Blanco Bar excellent restaurant 4 mins away. Hotel nice distance from main restaurants & Bars. Loro Park half an hour walk away - excellent day out.
We really enjoyed our stay. Although the hotel was a bit 'tired' (furniture a bit dated and in need of a lick of paint), the room was spacious, the beds comfortable and bathroom clean with both bath & shower. The balcony was a fair size with lovely views, even though the furniture was a bit uncomfortable and broken. The setting of the hotel (within beautiful gardens) was very nice and the pool was a good size. We only ate breakfast which was buffet style with enough variety to please everyone although the hot food was a bit cold. A small number of cats resided within the gardens which we thought a lovely touch. They had their own kennel house and were properly fed. They were friendly and appeared well looked after. Many customers seemed to enjoy their company. On the whole, staff were helpful (more so than at other destinations I have recently stayed). The location was perfect for us - a very pleasant scenic 20 minute walk into the main shopping / eatery / seafront area. The town was lively but not hectic. We took cabs back to the hotel as it was all up hill at a cost of around 3.50 Euros. There's also a handy cab rank outside the hotel. The Southern airport is about an hour from the hotel. We made the mistake of catching a cab from the airport to the hotel which cost us 115.00 Euros. The hotel recommended a bus back from the town bus station which cost around 20 Euros. I would have no hesitation in staying at S.P.S.A. again or recommending it to others.

Pros: The garden and pool
Cons: Nothing
Location: A bit far, but not too much
Very nice garden and pool. The hotel is 15 minutes walk from the city centre (on a hill), but you can come and go by taxi for only 3 euro. The staff is super friendly and they speak several languages. If you want to avoid the noise from beach hotels, and feel good by the pool, this one is perfect!

Good base for hiking on the north of the island.

Posted May 5, 2013
Pros: Nice outside pool in grassy central courtyard. Self service laundry. Quiet rooms. Firm, very comfortable beds. Good, healthy food.
Location: Used as a base for hiking every day. Took buses to start of trail routes. 20 minutes walk up the hill from the bus terminal
Stayed 2 weeks. Was on half pension, so ate dinner there every night. Good variety of food that was tasty and mostly healthy. Primarily a buffet that would change from day to day. In addition, chefs at the grill would prepare omelets/eggs in the morning and fish/meat in the evening. After a hike, would come back in the afternoon and take a short swim in the pool to cool down. Had a room facing the center of the complex. Was very quiet at night. Couldn't hear any traffic and seldom heard other guests. N.B. Long pants required for dinner.

Not suitable for children

Posted Mar 18, 2013
Cons: The food was terrible and the lack of facilities.
Location: There were no nearby restaurants or shops and the beach was a good half an hours walk up a steep hill on the return.
The hotel in general was clean and well maintained. However, the room lacked basic facilities - no tea or coffee facilities; a bar fridge which was empty and didn't work; very basic tv. The food was exceptionally poor although there was a lot of it most was in edible. The hotel claims it is child friendly but the pool was too cold for little ones and the shallow end was 0.6mtrs so little ones couldn't get in and out without jumping into the cold water. There was a cafe for lunch but it served only spam burgers and toasted sandwiches. No child friendly drinks. Most of the guests were elderly and were generally bothered by children playing.
