In regard to the facilities and certain creature comforts, Hotel Diamond clearly lacks. But at around ¥1000 Yen a night, it's pretty unbeatable value. The staff and semi-permanent residents are helpful and always around to answer questions. A free bike service lets you explore the area in greater detail. Hotel Diamond is literally a couple of doors down from Dobutsuen-Mae subway station. It's a one minute walk from your room to a train that can take you to Namba station, connecting to the airport and other major hubs in Osaka. To conclude, what Hotel Diamond lacks in bells and whistles, it makes up for in value for money, good service, and great location.

Close to two local lines (quite a far walk from the JR line station). Great customer service and staff spoke good English. There is a shrine opposite the hotel and was able to experience a summer festival right in front of the hotel's doorsteps. Room was quite large for what you would normally get in Japan.
