"Great place and location!"
The hotel was very nice for a small family run hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They made you feel like family. We arrived fairly early in the day, however they were able to provide us a room right away. The breakfast was fine. There was sandwiches, bread, ham, cheese and a large variety of pastries. The only downside to staying in Rome during the winter is that many of the smaller hotels do not have heat. This hotel turned on the heat at 4pm, which was fine when we were out all day. It was cold during our stay in Rome and the first day in the hotel, was chilly. We came in early and it was too cold and rainy to venture outside, so we stayed in. That's when we found out about the heat situation. Otherwise, we will definately stay there again if we return to Rome.

"Excellent budget hotel"
I've stayed here twice, both times for a single night before catching a flight, and I was very satisfied. The hotel is very clean and Paolo, the owner, went out of his way to help me. This hotel exceeded my expectations and I will definitely stay here again. The hotel can be a bit tricky to find, since the sign is not very big, so it's a good idea to check a map first. Also, be aware that the hotel is on the fourth floor (there is a very small lift) and that the wi-fi is unreliable in some areas. Payment is in cash.

"Convenient, deceptively good hotel."
Convenient for station Termini. This hotel is not obvious from the address, we were however emailed very good instructions on getting there which we unfortunately didnt get as we were travelling for 3 weeks prior to the booking. Took us about 10 mins to find right door at 87b rather than 85 . The email also tells you that payment is cash only which might be worth knowing in advance for some people. ( credit card through Expedia secures booking and price but payment was on checkout) Initially when shown in wondered what the room would be like as went up a floor in a very small , ancient looking lift. But was very pleasantly surprised . Good quality room with everything you need including wi fi. Breakfast buffet style and a little unusual in that there quite a range of cakes to compliment the usual croissants, fruit juices and hot drinks. One of our fellow guests commented on the lack of fruit and yogurt but there was quite a wide selection of stuff. Staff were very relaxed , helpful and friendly . Doesn't have the " image " of some of the larger hotels but we think it was a good find ( based partly on previous Expedia reviews) and very good value compared with a 4* round the corner that we had used at the start of our trip.. Would definitely recommend and consider using again if go back to Rome.

"Location, location, location!"
We loved it there. We have, in fact, recommended it to friends. The hotel staff was wonderful, the location is a very easy walk to Termini and metro, and a relatively easy walk to other points of interest. It is even a few blocks away from a reasonably sized market (which we used - often!). Our recommendations? There's a pizza place (can't recall where, but Yelp should give you an idea) that is only open for lunch. Go there. Also, a few blocks away is Mamma Angela restaurant. Go there too. And stay at this hotel. You won't regret it.

"Very nice place"
This hotel is conveniently located just two blocks from Termini station. It was close to all sights and transportation. Room was small, but clean. Breakfast was good, specially coffee. Personal is very friendly and helpfull. We came three hours before check-in time, but our room was ready and we did not lose any minute. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Great hotel with a true local Italian feel"
We loved this hotel in Rome! We were able to find the hotel quickly and easily. It is located right next to the train station on the 4th (actually 5th) floor of a building made up of several hotels-- there is a small elevator so don't worry! The managers (a wonderful couple) speak little to no English but were able to communicate clearly and were very kind to us and the other guests. The room had a nice bathroom in it and was very spacious. The singular (extra) bed was very much a roll out bed and not recommended. I'd suggest getting another room or a room with two double beds.

"Perfect hotel"
Everything about this hotel was great. Arrived late morning and our room was ready for check-in. Easy walk to most of what Rome has to offer. If Vatican is too far of a walk, Metro from Termini station will take you there. Neighborhood is safe, many shops and local bars/trattorie. Large grocery store near S. Maria Maggiore is well stocked with food and wine. Breakfast was decent with a large spread of pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit and hot bacon/scrambled eggs. Morning of check out, we departed too early for breakfast. Front desk had prepared a breakfast bag filled with apples, croissants, jam, juice etc. Fantastic!

Pocket Guide: Rome Termini Central Station Independent Pet-friendly Hotels

Rome’s central train station, Termini is the entry point to the city from Fiumicino Airport, and is an impressive modern architectural sight. Between here and glamorous Via Veneto, there are several interesting places to visit. The Palazzo Barberini is a superb baroque palace, the Terme di Diocleziano was the city’s largest bath complex and the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione is remarkable for its Capuchin monks’ crypt.
