Nice hotel close to Winchester

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: Location and friendly staff
Cons: Bathroom fittings
Location: Close to winchester
We have stayed in The Grosvenor previously in a standard room. Apart from the bed being larger the superior room we stayed in was not as good as the standard room. Some of the bathroom fixtures needed attention. Our stay however was good and the staff looked after us well.

Lovely hotel

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Price, location is good for Winchester
We were meant to stay 2 nights but couldn't make the 1st night due to a family illness. They were very helpful, apologised that they had to charge us 2 nights and offered that we could stay the following night to make up for it, which we unfortunately had to declined. Lovely quiet hotel, lovely staff and good breakfast.

Great stay

This hotel is amazingly comfortable. The rooms are well away from the bar noise (which is very loud) and the recently renewed beds are among the best I've slept in. The range and quality of the breakfasts make this an excellent place to stay and good value. The car park is fine too.

Christmas Stay

Posted Dec 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
A family Christmas gathering. Staff are fabulous the Hotel though is a little old. All part of the charm however certain amenities need to be upgraded. The bathrooms in particular. With that all said super quaint and the staff made it all good. Great walking and hiking within minutes.

Tiny bit of TLC and a lift would make it perfect

Posted Nov 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
Overnight stay on the way to Southampton. Very convenient as en route. Would have rated it as 5/5 throughout but the hotel needs a bit of money spent on the rooms, although the public areas downstairs were all fine. Bathroom in particular was a bit tired and in need of a re-tile/re-grout and seal. The four poster room was otherwise lovely/ Also, lugging suitcases upstairs was a bit of a pain as there was no lift. The food on the evening and the breakfast was excellent and the bar staff and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful as was the receptionist.
