The outside had been freshly painted. The rooms were in average condition, but had not been cleaned. There was hair all over the bathroom and furniture had not been dusted. First room had hair in sink and on toilet were provided a second room and while a little better there was hair all over the bathroom floor.

Worst place we have ever stayed
Dirtiest place I have ever stayed. There was food in and around the microwave. A butter thumb print on the microwave. Dust so thick we went out and bought cleaning wiped and Lysol before we touched anything. AC did not work. Noise above us kept us up at night. Stomping and walking around. 2 hours broken sleep all night. The room was non-smoking but it had a STRONG smell of cigarettes that we noticed as soon as we opened the door.

Very nice manager and staff. Maid service came in daily to replenish towels, coffee, bathroom supplies,etc. Highly recommend.

Can I submit pictures of the dried food all over the wall, the bandaid in the shower and the overall dinginess? How about the cigaret burns in the blankets and the air freshener meant to cover up the smoke smell?

thick dust on bed side clock , lamp and fridge. Carpet un vacuumed. Found a hair grip on the floor. Room smelt bad and old, despite plug in air freshener. Made me suspicious of the bed, but sheets clean. £144 to stay. Feel let down. There is a fridge and microwave.

Great stay for a couple or a family w/kids. Great location, you go 10 mins in 1 direction you are in the city of Pittsfield with plenty to do from 4wheeling up Jimmney Peak to movies and many restaurants to choose for dinner. The motel is 2 mins from 2 grocery stores and 5 mins from Bosquet Mountain which has recently been upgraded to compete with the many ski/snowboarding mountains in the area. It also has an outdoor pool we didn’t get to take advantage of, even though if I had let my son go for a swim he would have been right in there. Also, it’s only 10-15 mins from Tanglewood depending on traffic lol. The staff at the Howard Johnson is friendly and the do provide a complimentary breakfast every morning. Give it a try and I’m sure you will be back again!

Spacious and clean room that was more than large enough for our family of four. Seems relatively recently to have received a facelift. The pool appeared nice (we couldn't swim due to our plans) A simple breakfast was included. A good choice at a good price point for the area.

Great budget hotel, needs investmentin pillows
Staff was lovely. Pleasant and informative. Room was quite large and well appointed with a lot of seating, surfaces, lighting. Bathroom was acceptable, though tub could use a little scrubbing, and the lighting was too harsh and bright (showed me more gray hairs than I realized I had). PILLOWS ABSOLUTELY NEED TO BE REPLACED. They were uncomfortable sacks of many bits if foam, I fussed with them much of the night. We did not participate in Breakfast, so I have no review, but I believe it is offered 7am-10am (included with stay). I would go back if I were to return to this area in the future.

Peter was Extremely helpful and polite. His service was excellent and advised throughout our stay. The property was clean and well maintained. It sits within walking distance to convenience stores some food spots. I highly recommend!
