We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel staff were the nicest we encountered in our trip to Europe. The beds were comfortable, the rooms clean, and the water was warm. The hotel was very conveniently located within walking distance to the Tower of London. There were also great restaurants nearby, although they were very busy. We loved the little German restaurant right down the street. The best thing about the hotel was the convenience. It was right near the underground station (Tower hill) and there were several places to grab a quick, little bite to eat. The only negative thing was the shower. The water cycled from hot to cold very quickly, which made for a weird showering experience. However, the water was very warm, and from what I read before I traveled to Europe... that I am thankful for! I would definitely stay again and recommend highly!

The hotel is 2 mins walk from Barbican tube station which is on the circle line (2 stops from Kings Cross) which goes to most of the tourist places in the centre of London. St Pauls Cathedral is a short walk away. The rooms are lovely, (each with a coffee machine!) the bar and restaurant are also very good. If you are booking through Expedia - double check if you are expecting breakfast to be included, we thought it was but this had not been communicated to the hotel. This was sorted out later with Expedia.
This hotel is really set up for couples but they do accommodate children too.
Would definitely stay here again.

I loved this place! If you like perfect and sanitised corporate style hotels, then you won't like it here.
The rooms are all quirky and unique- I had Sophie Rood on the top floor. The best big soaking bath ever, plus quite a big room for London. No lift though, so be warned!
The staff were all uniformly excellent, friendly and knowledgeable.
It is a touch difficult to find, but once you're in you are welcomed with a rare-to-find honour bar, in front of a fire with complimentary cake in the afternoons.
A 25-30 minute walk to the Tower of London and there are lots of other museums and other things to stay interested and within walking distance of pretty much everything else if you're active.
I will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone I know visiting London!!!
